🌟 This Give to Women and Girls Day, digitalundivided is proud to join over 25 philanthropic and nonprofit organizations to boost funding for gender equity! Despite the fact that more than 50,000 U.S. nonprofits focus on women and girls, a shocking less than 2% of philanthropic support reaches them, according to the Women & Girls Index by @womensphilanthropy. To tackle this issue, Give to Women and Girls Day was launched in 2022 to raise awareness and resources for these vital organizations. “The gap in funding for women and girls reflects the disparity in venture capital for women-owned startups—both hovering under 2%,” says Leah D. Williams, CEO of digitalundivided. "We’re standing with the Women’s Philanthropy Institute and Amplify Her Foundation to advocate for the 51% of Americans who deserve equitable support from the $557.16 billion given to charities each year." ✨ It’s time to #GiveToWomenAndGirls! Join us by making a monthly donation, starting at just $5. Together, we can create a meaningful impact in the lives of women everywhere! 💪💖 https://lnkd.in/eVpKM2p4

Join HOPE for Give to Women and Girls Day 2024, a powerful initiative dedicated to amplifying support for women's and girls' causes! 🌸 Since 2019, the Women's Philanthropy at Indiana University Institute (WPI) has revealed that less than 2% of U.S. philanthropic funding goes to these essential efforts, and we are committed to changing that! 💪 At HOPE, we believe that when women and girls thrive, entire communities flourish. Let’s work together to close the funding gap! Visit our cause page at Every.org/latinas to learn how you can make a difference. ✨ On October 8, the WPI released its latest Women & Girls Index, tracking a decade of charitable giving to organizations focused on women and girls in the U.S. 📊 This report reveals that philanthropic support for women’s and girls’ organizations surpassed $10 billion for the first time in 2021. Key highlights include a remarkable 60.9% growth in funding for women’s civil rights and a 26.5% increase in government grants to these groups, outpacing other sectors. Women and girls represent half of the world’s population and therefore also half of its potential. With only 2.1% of venture capital dollars financing female-founded companies and 1.9% of charitable giving in the USA being donated to women’s and girls’ organizations, the Fashion Impact Fund is committed to support female founders leading fashion workforce opportunities for women to access education, gain employment and achieve economic inclusion. Strong and autonomous women’s organizations are critical in ending violence against women and girls. On #16Days we call for more funding! #NoExcuse Credit: UN Women #fashionimpactfund #genderequality #SDG5

Today is Give to Women & Girls Day! It’s really important that we support gender equity through giving, so that we can create a more just, equitable, and sustainable world. The aim of the ‘Give to Women & Girls’ campaign is to raise awareness and increase funding for all the organisations that serve women and girls. The Women’s Philanthropy Institute – Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy has measured giving to women and girls through its Women & Girls Index (WGI), and their research shows that whilst there are many organisations dedicated to women and girls, there is a lot less philanthropic support given to these organisations. This is echoed in the UK - Rosa, the UK Fund for Women and Girls found that in 2021, a total of £4.1 billion worth of grants was awarded to charities, but the women and girls sector received just 1.8% of these. [https://lnkd.in/gR7RA-kC] At Bath Women’s Fund, we support women and girls organisations by awarding 100% of our members donations – so far, we have given £100,000 to 14 local organisations. Here are some of the reasons our members enjoy being part of Bath Women’s Fund and want to give to women and girls organisations… “I was really attracted by the focus on women and girls and liked the idea of a giving circle – live dynamic giving.” “I have learnt a lot about the challenges faced by women and girls locally.” “That we are all focused on a common cause feels stimulating.” “Year on year we see how the pots of money help women and girls and have an impact.” “I really liked the idea of collaboration and women coming together and donating whatever they can afford to have a bigger impact.” To find out more about Give to Women & Girls Day: https://lnkd.in/gRNznSrb https://lnkd.in/eiDewBYJ To join Bath Women’s Fund and support women and girls locally: https://lnkd.in/eTQRTax #GiveToWomenAndGirls

What if giving and receiving could work in perfect harmony? 🌟 I’m beyond excited to share the Benefactor Program—a groundbreaking initiative that’s revolutionizing the way nonprofits raise funds. Developed by RTG Group Inc., this model empowers immigrant women entrepreneurs while offering supporters a 20% ROI over 14 months, tax-free. It’s a true win-win: impactful giving with meaningful returns. Through this program, nonprofit operational costs are fully covered, allowing 100% of donations to go directly to the causes that matter. This means we’re not just helping individuals; we’re creating a ripple effect that touches lives far beyond what we can see. The philanthropy space is overdue for a revolution, and the Benefactor Program is leading the charge—proving that everyone can win while doing social good. A few months ago, I had the privilege of meeting Svetlana and the powerful group of business leaders at IWB Immigrant Women in Business (IWB) during one of their networking events. What struck me the most was the sense of community and shared vision. Everyone genuinely wanted to uplift one another, and the energy was inspiring. As an immigrant and a woman myself, I feel deeply connected to IWB’s mission. Organizations like this give people the chance to start over, build businesses, and create a better life—not just for themselves but for everyone they touch. This is what makes the ripple effect so powerful: significance and impact that extend far beyond us. To date, the Benefactor Program has raised $150,000 out of its $250,000 goal, and every dollar makes a difference. Contributions range from $1,000 to $5,000, and each supporter receives a post-dated cheque upfront for the loan amount + interest, guaranteed. If this resonates with you, I’d love to share more about how you can get involved. Let’s create lasting impact together. 🌍✨ #SocialImpact #philanthropy #PurposeDriven #WomenEntrepreneurs #Fundraising #ChangeMakers #Gratitude

A message from CEO & President, Kristin S. Shrimplin: Today, MacKenzie Scott’s Yield Giving announced Women Helping Women as one of the #YieldGivingOpenCall’s awardees working with people and in places experiencing the greatest need in the United States. WHW was awarded $2 million! In March 2023, Yield Giving launched an Open Call for community-led & focused organizations whose explicit purpose is to empower individuals and families to achieve substantive improvement in their well-being. The Open Call received 6,353 applications and initially planned for 250 awards of $1 million each. In the Fall of 2023, organizations top-rated by their peers advanced to a second round of review by an external Evaluation Panel recruited for their experience relevant to this cause, and underwent a final round of due diligence. In light of the incredible work of these organizations, as judged by their peers and external panelists, the donor team decided to expand the awardee pool and the award amount! Because we were ranked so highly across the nation, WHW received double the amount of funding we thought was possible! To be seen and uplifted by community peer organizations across the nation is a gift. To receive the largest donation in our 51-year history is a gift. To have that donation come from a female philanthropist is a gift. The honor is humbly ours to keep showing up & to keep activating for our vision of a world where all people are safe, liberated and thriving. And in the promise of trust-based philanthropy & in the power of Equity, we have one very powerful question "How should we use this money?” #empowerment #believesurvivors

🧐 Recent research underscores the significant role women play in charitable giving, particularly through social media channels. 💻 According to the 5th edition of the Giving Experience Study by OneCause, 37% of social donors—those participating in events, auctions, giving days, or peer-to-peer fundraising—increased their donations this year despite economic pressures. Additionally, data from Nonprofits Source reveals that 64% of donations are made by women, highlighting their substantial contribution to charitable causes. These findings suggest that women are not only leading in overall charitable contributions but are also leveraging social media platforms to engage with and support causes they care about. 💪💪 Nonprofit organizations, healthcare, and higher education can benefit from understanding these trends and tailoring their fundraising strategies to effectively connect with women donors through social media. ✨Let’s have a conversation about how Spark Womens Philanthropy can help your organization engage more women philanthropically! ✨ #WomensPhilanthropy #WomenWhoGive #InclusivePhilanthropy #SparkWomensGiving #womengiveback

Who will be the superpowers of philanthropy in the next 25 years? Who will have the capacity and resources to influence social, economic, and political arenas? The answer is women. Historically, women have always played crucial roles in philanthropy. Early social service work was seen as “women’s work.” Female philanthropy started with parochial institutions, where nuns, deaconesses, and women of all faiths offered comfort to the marginalized in their communities. Now, with women holding more than half of private wealth in the U.S. and the capacity to influence global change, their impact is poised to grow exponentially. Despite progress, support for women's and girls' organizations remains low, receiving just 1.8% of charitable giving. However, women are stepping up to fill this gap, often giving broadly, holistically, and collectively. They focus on aligning their passion with their resources, working collaboratively, and demanding transparency about the impact of their contributions. Women’s philanthropy offers vast opportunities: from supporting traditional nonprofits to becoming angel investors and engaging in impact investing. In my role as a philanthropic advisor, I work to help women donors align their values with their charitable giving, grow their confidence and celebrate their achievements. #PhilanthropyConcierge #WDM2024 #WomensPhilanthropy #WomenInLeadership https://lnkd.in/gSZhsadi
