I am personally drawn to working with organizations that genuinely care about both performance and development. DKATALIS is one of the very few. Genuinely – because they keep iterating until it works. Keep iterating – because there is no best practice when you want to care for both i.e. you must experiment to invent what works best for your system. • It is easier to focus just on performance and ignore #people development. It is easier to hit the target while ignoring your team's health. As a result, numerous organizations chose this route. It is harder to hit your target and make your company a healthier place to work. Thus, only a few chose this path. •• System Work might only appeal to companies in the latter category – because we believe that both #performance and #development are equally important. A model for good: The AgChat model started in 2009 on Twitter with a view to create an online agricultural discussion group. Its success spanned globally and is now widely used across the USA, UK, Australia & Ireland. The AgChat Foundation followed a year later in 2010 by farmers with four key objectives in mind: To educate farmers through training. To enable agriculture’s voice through coordinated industrywide efforts. To provide tools to assist with targeted community efforts. To equip farmers with infrastructure to enable full use of social media. Agchat and the foundation still exist today and subsequently followers and advocates of both have grown substantially in number. The role and vision of the AgChat Foundation is to empower and connect through social media platforms.
