📸 The moment when the 17:00 pizza delivery arrives is always a highlight of the #Algoryx #hackathon. A collective pizza dinner is a great way to wrap up the day – or, for some, to refuel for a final stretch in front of the computer. 🍕🍕 👩💻 👨💻
🔸 The biannual internal hackathon is a cornerstone of the learning culture here at Algoryx. It is a full-day event where engineers (and non-technical roles) come together to work on projects beyond our regular roadmaps and daily tasks.
🔸 Last week was the autumn 2024 edition of the Algoryx hackathon, coordinated by our trusted hackathon general, Tomas Berglund 💫 At Algoryx we keep our hackathons very much bottom-up and self-organized to ensure that everyone is working on a project they’re truly passionate about.
🔸 We have found that hackathons are a good investment in fostering a culture of innovation, but they are also great for boosting morale and strengthening a sense of togetherness in the office.
🔸 Hackathon projects tend to be more about the journey than the final outcome. But of course, it’s pretty cool when a hackathon project leads to something bigger. A good example is our general support for #ROS2 in #AGXDynamics: what started as a Hackathon project in spring 2022 is now a core component of our product. Who knows where this year’s hackathon projects may take us..?
