Disability Advocacy Network Australia (DANA) Ltd’s Post

Some great events coming up this month from our team at the National Centre for Disability Advocacy (NCDA) 👇 Since the NCDA launched in 2022, the team has been running monthly networking events and webinars where experts from the disability and advocacy community dive into topics relevant to their work. These events have been so popular that there are often waitlists! The fantastic feedback we’re getting is a real testament to the hard work the team puts into planning, collaborating, and delivering events that help strengthen our sector. Here’s what advocates have had to say: “𝘐𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵. Join the NCDA at our upcoming events this month. 💡 October Webinar 📅 Oct 23: Ethical decision making Ethical dilemmas crop up regularly in advocacy practice and can be particularly distressing or confusing without proper tools. October’s webinar will provide advocates with an effective model for considering ethical problems from several perspectives, leading to better ethical decision-making. 💡 Governance Forum 📅 Oct 30: How and when to recruit for your board Join our Governance Forum to hear from experts Adele Stowe-Lindner (ICDA) and Leanne Wishart (GDAI) on recruiting for your board and balancing your organisation's needs with those of the community. Advocates and managers can register by contacting the NCDA team: ncda@dana.org.au
