Today's #WellnessWednesday #MentalHealthHack is to get enough restful sleep! According to the Sleep Foundation, brain activity fluctuates during sleep, allowing different parts of the brain to be active and enable better thinking, learning, and memory. Getting enough sleep allows the brain to process emotional information, like evaluating thoughts and memories. When you don't get enough sleep, the brain has a hard time building up positive emotions, which can influence mood and emotional reactivity, and is linked to mental health disorders. Try having a set bedtime, putting away electronics at least at hour before bed, maximizing the comfort of your bed, and blocking out excess light to improve your sleep. #WellnessWednesdayWisdom #TipOfTheDay #WellnessTip #MentalHealth #MentalHealthMatters #MentalHealthAwareness #EndTheStigma #MontgomeryCountyAllianceForPrevention #MontCoPA #PreventionHappensHere #Prevention #PAprevention #MontCoPrevention #MAPtoPrevention
