**Unlocking Innovation: Break Big Goals into Actionable Steps** In today's fast-paced world, creativity and innovation are the lifeblood of success. But here's the catch: many people feel paralyzed by the magnitude of their goals. Want to innovate? It starts with breaking those gigantic aspirations into actionable steps. You want growth? You need a plan that transforms lofty ambitions into manageable tasks. First off, it’s essential to take that massive goal and dissect it like a surgeon. What’s your ultimate vision? Understand the core and drive your focus there. Write it down! When you commit ideas to paper, those dreams become real and palpable. Each significant goal should be like a mountain – steep but conquerable. Next, identify the milestones. What do you need to achieve in the next month, week, or even day? These micro-steps are your building blocks. If you aim to innovate your business model, start by researching competitors, talking to customers, or brainstorming with your team. The more granular you can get, the better! Now, let’s talk accountability. Share your goals! When you tell others about your ambitions, you’ve got a community that will push you to stay on track. It’s about surrounding yourself with people who refuse to let you settle. Lastly, embrace the journey. Innovation isn't just about hitting targets; it’s about celebrating progress. Recognize your achievement at each step – this fuels the fire for the next. In the end, the path to creativity and innovation isn’t a linear one. It’s filled with twists, turns, and breakthroughs. But by breaking down those big goals into actionable steps, you'll build momentum and create a wave of success unlike any other. Don’t wait for opportunities; create them! It’s time to take action and transform your big dreams into reality. #Innovation #GoalSetting #CreativeThinking

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 #𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡❓ Recently, I had an inspiring conversation with Kostas Kapelas (Msc), from my network at BNI City Lunch - London, that underscored this point. Kostas is a Health Specialist who works with Businesses helping employees with their mental health & low energy levels to reduce absences. As entrepreneurs, we often focus on profit activators like Sales, Marketing, and Operations, but maintaining our health is equally important. A healthy body and mind are foundational to sustaining high performance and achieving long-term success. During our discussion, we explored the intersection of health, technology, and AI. Technology has the power to transform our lives, making processes more efficient and opening up new possibilities. However, it’s essential to ensure that these advancements do not leave a negative long-term footprint on our well-being. Here were few key takeaways from our conversation that I thought of sharing with you all....... 👉 Incorporating health into your business strategy is not just beneficial but necessary. Healthy leaders build healthy businesses. 👉Leverage AI or Smart Tech to streamline operations and enhance decision-making with insights that are hidden within the data. 👉 Be mindful of the long-term effects of technology on health. Sustainable tech solutions should enhance our lives without adverse consequences. Kostas owned various tech devices, but it was his expertise and understanding of different methods that enabled us to quickly identify the root cause of the problem. The statement, 'What's the point of having money that will eventually be spent to fix illnesses,' made me ponder the purpose of advanced technology if it can't swiftly diagnose the root cause of issues. How many of our loved ones could be saved if AI technology were integrated into healthcare systems? Business is about building networks that support our holistic & sustainable success and that's what I think after this consultation. #Networking #Entrepreneurship #HealthAndWellness #AI #Technology #HolisticSuccess #SustainableGrowth

In today's fast-evolving world, thinking outside the box has become the new norm. In fact, what was once deemed unconventional is now celebrated as innovative. We’ve entered an era where the most successful ideas often stem from breaking away from tradition and embracing a mindset that challenges the status quo. This shift isn't about being different for the sake of it; it’s about rethinking the ordinary. Whether it’s in business, technology, or daily life, the most transformative breakthroughs are coming from those who dare to explore new, and sometimes "weird," perspectives. Think about how Uber redefined transportation or how Airbnb challenged the hospitality industry. These were not "normal" ideas when they first emerged. They were met with skepticism and doubt. Yet, today, they are success stories that shaped entire industries. These companies didn’t just think outside the box – they redefined what the box could be. This shift towards "weird" thinking is evident across industries: Technology: Companies are rapidly adopting AI, machine learning, and blockchain technologies that once seemed futuristic or far-fetched. Work Culture: The traditional 9-to-5 office setup is becoming obsolete as flexible, remote, and hybrid working models are embraced. Entrepreneurship: The rise of niche markets and micro-enterprises shows how businesses are capitalizing on unique, targeted ideas that were once considered too obscure. But what does this mean for individuals? It’s a call to embrace curiosity and question the norms. In a world where innovation is prized, sticking to "the way it's always been done" can be limiting. We should encourage "weird" ideas, celebrate unconventional thinking, and foster environments where creativity can thrive without fear of failure or judgment. Yet, the challenge is not simply to think differently for the sake of it, but to harness this mindset towards purpose and impact. Weird doesn’t mean irrational; it means seeing connections others miss, daring to challenge assumptions, and finding opportunities where others see obstacles. It’s about turning oddities into opportunities. So, the next time you have an idea that seems a little offbeat, don’t dismiss it. The greatest innovators, from Einstein to Elon Musk, weren’t afraid to look at the world through a different lens – one that others might call strange or unrealistic. And look where that got them! Here’s to making the weird wonderful and the unconventional unstoppable. Whether you're leading a team, starting a business, or just thinking about your next big move, don’t be afraid to challenge the norm. Because in today’s world, weird has become the new normal – and that's a beautiful thing. #Innovation #Creativity #UnconventionalThinking #WeirdIsWonderful #NewNormal #GrowthMindset

Let's talk about 𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 that is human as usual! The so-called “innovation” that companies claim in their business goals is not an output. It's an input. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆: Companies don't innovate. Products don't innovate. 𝙋𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙚. After going through an incubated process of awakening. Awakening that is preceded by chaos, conflict, and friction. Friction that becomes a nest for human creativity and problem solving. Problem solving that is the means for evolving because there is no way to prevent the world from ever-changing. Often companies mistakenly enable conflict-adverse environments which are paradoxically detrimental to the outcomes they want to see. This is due in part to fear that things will get messy instead. What these companies ignore is that when it gets messy AND the right conditions support people to navigate that part, they brilliantly challenge the norm in a quest to find the next right thing. It is in the chaos, not the comformity, that reinvention happens. And reinvention is innovation. From outdated ideas and meanings to breakthrough paradigms. That result in products. Companies. And societies at large. Innovation is human. As usual. 💙 Happy Thursday, LinkedIn! #humanismisgenerative

THE NEW 1% We live in an extremely exciting world, an era of newness & change. This change has seen the emergence of a new generation of people, ranging from 17 to 70, who are rewriting the rules of business success. Driven primarily by impact rather than wealth, they have one thing in common, they rarely follow conventional business wisdom. They are today’s newsmakers & success creators. Welcome to the community of the New 1%. I have been diligently following their success stories, listening to their podcasts & trying to understand what makes them what they are. I find this 1% usually exhibit distinct attributes that set them apart, shaped by the evolving nature of business, technology and leadership trends. These attributes are increasingly focused on innovation & trailblazing. I have tried to capture some of these here: 1. SOLUTIONISTS They are first & foremost compulsive problem solvers. This attribute helps them navigate complex and uncertain situations effectively, finding solutions that are practical, creative, and sustainable. It is this trait that helps them succeed in non-ideal conditions where most others are likely to fail. 2. INTUITIVE DECISION MAKING The rapidity of change has stopped many in the business world dead in their tracks. On the other hand, this 1% demonstrate extreme agility in adjusting to new market conditions, technological advancements and geopolitical shifts. They are comfortable making quick & intuitive decisions in uncertain environments. 3. TECH SAVVINESS They display a remarkable understanding of emerging technologies. They have been able to adopt & harness the power of AI, data analytics, social media & automation to drive success & operational efficiencies. 4. INNOVATORS They operate in an environment of new ideas, new methods, new products or services, often challenging the status quo to drive progress. They are forever innovating as they traverse untrodden paths in search of an otherwise elusive success. 5. VISION BEYOND SIGHT They possess an ability to anticipate future trends & needs, are extremely forward-thinking, always looking beyond the immediate to script success in whatever they do. While the range of attributes displayed by this community isn’t just restricted to the above, they additionally display a commonality in that they are usually sculpted by discipline not genetics, fuelled by purpose not stimulants, educated by life not institutions & focussed on creating value rather than consuming it. NOTE: I have especially put together my views above for those who are struggling to achieve success in today’s rapidly evolving environment. Success for them is just a changed mind-set away. #successatanycost #thenewbreed #winning #innovators #achievers

I think human beings, and companies composed entirely of human beings, are wired biologically to collaborate in communities & ecosystems (aka partner). People collaborating, starting with tribes working together, has been the secret to our species’ emergence from the middle to the top of the food chain over the millennia of human existence. ❓So the WE question I’m pondering today is ‘why do businesses routinely choose to compete, exploit, and extract rather than engaging in a cooperative, collaborative, and sustainable dance with other companies and the natural and business ecosystems that surround them?’ 🥺The zeitgeist, the culture, and the structures of business in our current socioeconomic epoch in which ‘scale and growth could be most easily maximize by adopting a competitive and egocentric approach to work & life.’ This is best summarized as: 💸 ME vs WE; ‘I win, when I get what I need & work cooperatively to the degree that it serves my needs.’ 🎯I think the way out of the problem, is to build scalable, cooperative, Zeitgeist, cultures, and structures that allow for ecosystematic success (we) without compromising the most important aspects of our individual needs (me). This can be summarized as: 🤝 ME x WE: ‘We win when we each pursue our purpose reciprocally amplified when we collaborate with like-minded people in a community (individuals) or business (ecosystems).’ For that to happen, partner ecosystem people need to really get good at ecosystem orchestration from strategic, operational, and cultural perspectives. Stay tuned to some exciting things I’ll be talking about in advance of Catalyst 2024, to support partner ecosystem pros to lead the charge and the change that we all feel has already begun in our ecosystems. #ecosystemorchestration

What sense would an innovation make if it didn’t make human lives easier and less stressful? Fulfilling needs rather than desires is the principle most people live by. It has to be for the people. Focusing on what would make people's lives easier will make innovation more successful, more loved, and more worthy. #innovation #human #successful #people #worthy #principle #quote

Three things I have learnt from investing… I have now completed three, relatively small, investments in technology companies, namely: - Hytro: a Blood Flow Restriction technology company - VOR (formerly Another Round): a work out automation platform for fitness professionals - Wild.AI: a data company to empower and assist female athletes. What I have learnt from this short investment journey to date? - Whilst I am looking for a return, I look to invest in businesses I understand and people I admire. - Whilst I am not a technical techie, I believe technology has the power to improve health and wellbeing. - Whilst I am not a high net worth individual, I look to invest small amounts for the long run. The leaders of these companies are ambitious and that should be applauded. Ambition is often misunderstood and viewed negatively. However, ambition is what drives people. It creates the motivation to improve oneself and to grow a business. To me it is closely aligned to visionary leadership, hard work and challenging the status quo; qualities I hugely admire. Have you made any investments recently? Why do you invest and I’d love to know what companies you are investing in 👇 #investing #health #fitness #wellbeing #data #technology #techcompanies
