Change is hard. Changing with diversity, equity and inclusion at the heart of it all is even harder. Whatever the road, it’s definitely more than possible to get there. I teamed up with Andy Storch on his podcast, Talent Development Hot Seat, to talk about transforming our company cultures to be both strategic and inclusive of all identities. Developing a culture of diversity and inclusion is not just the right thing to do. It’s the best thing you can do for the success of an innovative business & strategy. We talk about transforming culture to do just that, one leader, one employee and one organization at a time. Let’s erode the mountains of inequity in this world, together. #DifferentTogether #TransformTogether #InnovateTogether #LearnTogether #HappyPride (available wherever you find your podcasts)

👐🏾 Inclusive dialogue isn't just about who speaks - but how we listen and engage. It's not about silencing the outspoken or pushing the reserved; it's about creating space for all voices to be heard and valued. When we master this balance, we foster environments where everyone feels empowered to contribute. The result? Richer discussions, deeper #connections, and more innovative solutions. 👋🏾 How are you creating space for all voices in your organization? . . . 🎙 Reconstructing Inclusion Podcast S1E15 with Raquel Ark #ReconstructingInclusion #Inclusion #DEI #ListeningAlchemy #Listening #Podcast #Diversity

And so it is a business necessity we do. Employees don't quit companies; they quit people, and that was a hard reality. " - Joe Barnard, Ken Garff Automotive. One of my favorite podcasts, Pantsuit Politics, recently joined the party here on LinkedIn! To welcome them, I thought I would share this blast from the past. Like any good business, their brand and messaging have evolved along the way. One thing I love about their brand evolution is that it allowed them to be even more authentically themselves - a journey I'd love to see more women in leadership take. (And a great reason to give them a follow!) Here are my takeaways from our conversation back in 2019 after their book 'I think You're Wrong (But I'm Listening)' came out: 💡 The desire to blame and control is the root of all management failures 💡 The ability to name your values is a powerful exercise that helps you show up authentically in difficult situations 💡 Having a supportive community is vital to overcoming the voice in your head that says you are 'too much" 💡 Gender neutral family leave policies can lay the foundation for equal pay and equal influence at work 💡 There is no "right" career-path to becoming a successful leader 💡 Give yourself permission to make a life, not just make a career https://lnkd.in/eMA8Psjn
