Divi Crockett’s Post

Confirmation and straight off the Dailies today: (although they are saying it’s all for the interest of the audience, it’s a lot cheaper but that is going to change I guarantee, I’ve worked with international companies and although it is more expensive, supplies, unions etc, it is going to change for international crews you already see some of the complaints online: 🎬🌍Netflix's Global Gamble: Netflix is earmarking a staggering $7.9B of its $15.4B budget for productions outside of North America. This shift not only marks the first time the streaming giant invests more in international content than in its domestic market but also points to a broader industry pivot towards embracing a global TV landscape. With the decline of the so-called peak TV era, companies are exploring new territories to captivate audiences worldwide. This shift is happening as the TV industry starts to move away from the overflow of shows we've had in recent years, focusing more on content that can reach global audiences. Reasons? Making shows outside the U.S. can be cheaper, and American audiences are getting more into shows from other countries (think shows like ‘Squid Game’ and ‘Money Heist’). Plus, with the U.S. market for streaming services getting pretty crowded, Netflix sees a chance to grow by getting more subscribers from other parts of the world. It's a smart move that could lead to a lot more interesting and diverse shows for everyone to watch
