Advanced Palladium Technologies: Enhancing Sustainability and Global Cooperation At the Palladium Center, we are dedicated to pioneering innovative solutions using palladium, with a focus on sustainability and efficiency. Our developments were presented at the Technology for Human Survival: Future without Climate Disaster Session at COP 29, where we highlighted the role of palladium-based technologies in shaping a sustainable future. 💧Sustainable Water Treatment In water purification, we have introduced a new palladium-based anode for electrolysis, a more eco-friendly alternative to traditional chlorine production and storage. This technology increases energy efficiency by 10-20%, extends the anode’s lifetime, and reduces cost of precious metals. First commercial series will start working on a 1 mln city water preparation facility by the end of the year. 🚀 Innovations in Electronics We have launched a project focused on extending the lifetime of OLED displays, where a palladium-based component can potentially triple the lifetime of blue LEDs, significantly enhancing the overall durability of OLED displays and reducing electronic waste. 🌏 Commitment to Global Collaboration At COP 29, we emphasised the importance of international cooperation in driving green technologies. The Palladium Center is open to collaborating with scientific, business, and governmental partners worldwide to support the development and global implementation of transformative palladium-based solutions. 💧 Hydrogen is a key focus when decarbonizing energy-intensive industries and taking active measures against climate change. As a specialty glass manufacturer, we aim to become climate-neutral in our production by 2030. To achieve this, we are committed to eliminating our reliance on fossil fuels to heat our melting tanks in the future. 🔥 We have already reached significant milestones in technology change. This year, we have successfully melted an optical glass with 100% hydrogen. Furthermore, we are also planning the construction of our first melting tank, which will produce low-CO2 pharmaceutical glass with 100% green electricity. We will share our H2 experiences and best practices at the “Woche der Umwelt” (Week of the Environment) 2024, held from June 4 to 5. The President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, will host the event. The program will include various expert presentations, exciting discussions, and a large exhibition with 190 participants in the garden of the Bellevue Palace in Berlin. We will talk about our findings at the booth of the Gas- und Wärme-Institut Essen e.V. (GWI) Under the motto "Glass and hydrogen: old material with new energy" we will give an insight into our overall #climate neutral2030 🌳 activities. Today, on Earth Day 2024, our focus turns to Net Zero Emissions 2050 With just 25 years left to achieve Net Zero Emissions 2050 (NZE2050) targets, our efforts should be to prioritize technologies that exhibit both sustainable performance and practical scalability. Even the International Energy Agency (IEA) supports this idea in their NZE2050 framework, stating “All the technologies needed to achieve the necessary deep cuts in global emissions by 2030 already exist”. Dukosi’s chip-on-cell technology is making batteries sustainable, one cell at a time! Our technology can enhance high-power lithium-ion batteries with greater performance, reliability, and safety. Material usage in manufacturing is essential for reaching NZE2050.
