Do you know what you believe?
Do you know what you believe? Inevitably, when our kids were young, they asked, "What do we believe, Dad?" I told them we say it weekly in Church; it's the Nicene Creed. We should all know what we believe.
I believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and the statement of faith in the Nicene Creed.
I believe in courage because, without the courage to live my values, they are moot.
I believe in integrity, which I define as living my highest values.
I believe in family because families are the bedrock of our lives. Family is where we learn faith, love, respect, how to live, and where we develop our minds, bodies, and spirit.
I believe in leadership and leading in all I do. Leadership is a talent, gift, and responsibility that requires continual learning and developing relationships to help others at home, at work, and in our churches, communities, and Country.
I believe in freedom as defined in the Declaration of Independence, understanding that freedom comes with the individual responsibility for our lives. I believe in our Republic, the USA.
The cornerstone of leadership is character and the foundation of character is our beliefs. To lead, we must know what we believe and live according to those beliefs.
I wish you all a blessed Easter.
