Today is GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to generosity and community impact! While some may refer to this as “giving back,” I prefer to simply say “giving.” Because giving isn’t about making up for something—it’s about showing gratitude, empathy, and commitment to creating a better world. It’s about stepping up because we can and because we should. Last year, Giving Tuesday saw an incredible $3.1 billion donated worldwide, a powerful reminder of how impactful we are when we come together for causes that matter. From supporting education to advancing equity to funding vital healthcare initiatives, these contributions are shaping brighter futures. Today, U Krewers are donating their time at Kids In Distress (KID) and still have the chance to adopt one of 1500 children through our annual Angel Tree supporting nonprofits across the country such as The Wish Project, KID, Children's Harbor, Inc., Community Teamwork, and more! I’d love to know—who are you giving to today? Drop a comment to share the organizations or causes you’re championing this Giving Tuesday. Together, let’s inspire even more generosity! #GivingTuesday #DontGiveBackJustGive #UKGSocialImpact Brian Reaves Derek Valentine Sue Collard Nitcelle B. “Teaching Children the Power of Giving” One of the greatest lessons we can teach the next generation is the value of giving. When children are encouraged to give—whether it’s their time, resources, or kindness—they learn: 🌟 Empathy: Understanding and caring for others. 🌟 Responsibility: Recognizing that they can make a positive impact in the world. 🌟 Gratitude: Appreciating what they have while sharing with those in need. Charity work isn’t just about helping others; it’s about shaping young minds to see beyond themselves and contribute to something greater. Imagine a world where every child grows up knowing that their small actions can create big changes. Start small: 👐 Involve them in local charity projects. 👐 Encourage them to share with others. 👐 Celebrate their efforts, no matter how small. Let’s raise a generation that understands the joy of giving and the impact it can make. After all, charity starts at home—and it starts with us. What are your ideas for teaching children about giving? Share them below! #GivingBack #Leadership #ChildrenAndCharity #Empathy #CommunityImpact #YouthDevelopment

Ever thought giving is only for the rich? Let's bust that myth. 80% of Americans actively give to causes they care about. Yet many still believe they're not "qualified" to be philanthropists. Let's shatter some common myths about giving: "I'm not rich enough to give" Truth: Philanthropy isn't about wealth. It's about the love of humanity. Even $10 can create meaningful change. "Small donations don't matter" Reality: Every contribution counts. When combined with others, small gifts create a massive impact. Real-world example: Our Power of 10 program proves this. Just 10 people giving $10 monthly funds a registration scholarship for IAAP Summit attendance. Giving takes many forms: • Supporting local schools • Contributing to places of worship • Volunteering at food banks • Helping community events • Making small monthly donations Here's what matters: • Your intention to help • Consistency over amount • Being part of collective change • Following your heart The simple truth? You don't need to be wealthy to make a difference. Sometimes it's as simple as choosing between buying lunch or bringing it from home and donating that difference. 🔘 What's holding you back from giving? 🔘 Share your thoughts below #Philanthropy #Community #Giving #SocialImpact

All change starts with the first step - and whether that change is actual "change" or a change in your mindset, good happens when people realize that acting together creates meaningful results. Think about it, if we have ten people donating $10 over 12 months (10 x 10 x 12 = $1,200) and if we have ten Power of 10 Circles doing this... that's $12,000; add in a several Circles that are donating $25 each month for $2,500, and that could be $20K or more for scholarships! This will make a difference to many people who can then be provided scholarships!! The scholarship application window is open till November 30 (https://lnkd.in/g2mQYbV3). Be part of the change: https://lnkd.in/edBVjGqz
