Today is GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to generosity and community impact! While some may refer to this as “giving back,” I prefer to simply say “giving.” Because giving isn’t about making up for something—it’s about showing gratitude, empathy, and commitment to creating a better world. It’s about stepping up because we can and because we should. Last year, Giving Tuesday saw an incredible $3.1 billion donated worldwide, a powerful reminder of how impactful we are when we come together for causes that matter. From supporting education to advancing equity to funding vital healthcare initiatives, these contributions are shaping brighter futures. Today, U Krewers are donating their time at Kids In Distress (KID) and still have the chance to adopt one of 1500 children through our annual Angel Tree supporting nonprofits across the country such as The Wish Project, KID, Children's Harbor, Inc., Community Teamwork, and more! I’d love to know—who are you giving to today? Drop a comment to share the organizations or causes you’re championing this Giving Tuesday. Together, let’s inspire even more generosity! #GivingTuesday #DontGiveBackJustGive #UKGSocialImpact Brian Reaves Derek Valentine Sue Collard Nitcelle B. I love this! I am here at Kids in Distress with fellow U Krewers organizing and sorting their angel tree gifts! What a way to start the holiday season!
Later this week, I and 30 other U Krewers will be decorating Christmas trees and putting up festive lights at the campus of Children's Harbor, Inc. to help make the holidays a little brighter. 🎄
In lieu of my time today I was able to adopt 3 kids from UKG's angel tree and supported 2 other causes close to my heart monetarily. ❤️
