“When your print provider doesn’t need to rework your files, hunt for missing fonts, or clarify finishing instructions, you’re more likely to achieve your deadlines and avoid extra support costs.” Well, that just sounds nice. To prepare design files for print, start by setting the correct dimensions and ensuring a bleed area (usually 3mm or 0.125 inches) around the design to prevent trimming errors. Use CMYK color mode for accurate printing and ensure the resolution is at least 300 DPI for crisp output. Convert all fonts to outlines or curves to avoid font substitution issues. Additionally, embed or flatten all linked images to maintain consistency. Save your file in a print-ready format, such as PDF/X-1a, for professional results. For instance, when designing a flyer, if the size is 8.5” x 11”, include a 0.125” bleed on all sides, ensuring no critical elements are near the edges. Save the file as a high-quality PDF with crop marks included. #studeo360 #printdesign #print #printresolution

🛑 STOP! 🛑 Don't send that file to print without making these four checks: 1️⃣ Check the Resolution: Make sure all images and graphics are at least 300 DPI (dots per inch). This ensures your prints come out sharp and clear, avoiding any pixelation or blurriness. 2️⃣ Bleed is Sufficient: Ensure your design extends beyond the trim line by about 0.125 inches (3 mm). This helps prevent unwanted white borders or unprinted edges once your prints are cut to size. 3️⃣ Color Mode: Convert your file to CMYK color mode. CMYK is used for printing, ensuring your colors come out vibrant and true to design, unlike RGB, which is optimized for digital displays. 4️⃣ Spelling & Grammar: Double-check your text for any spelling and grammatical errors. A simple typo can lead to costly reprints, so thorough proofreading is essential. Print smarter with Davant! 📑✨ #PrePrintChecklist #DavantIndy"

🌟 It's Tech Tips Tuesday! 🌟 Mastering Your Photocopier for Maximum Efficiency Photocopiers are essential tools in any office, but are you using yours to its full potential? Here’s a tech tip to help you get the most out of your photocopier: Optimise Your Copier Settings for Quality and Speed Choose the Right Mode: For everyday documents, use the "Text" mode to get crisp, clear text. For images, switch to "Photo" or "Mixed" mode to ensure the best quality. Adjust the Resolution: Higher DPI (dots per inch) settings provide better quality but can slow down the process. For standard documents, 300 DPI is usually sufficient. For detailed images or graphics, go for 600 DPI or higher. Use the Duplex Function: Save paper and time by using the duplex (double-sided) printing feature. It’s eco-friendly and reduces the number of sheets you need to handle. Regular Maintenance: Keep your copier clean and well-maintained. Regularly check for and remove dust or paper debris and replace toner cartridges as needed to avoid streaks or faded prints. Digital Features: Utilise scanning and emailing capabilities directly from the copier to reduce the need for paper copies and streamline document management. By optimising your photocopier settings and maintaining the machine, you can ensure efficient and high-quality copies every time. #TechTip #OfficeEfficiency #Photocopier #PrintingTips #DocumentManagement #OfficeHacks
