Beyond the Logo What comes to mind when you think of a brand? It's frequently a color scheme or a logo. However, the companies that we genuinely identify are remembered for a lot more reasons than just their visual identity. Imagine entering a room where everything seems to have been created especially for you, including the language, the service, and the tone. That is the epitome of a brand. Asking questions like: What do we want people to feel each time they interact with us? What narrative are we presenting at every interface? Are we paying attention to what our consumers have to say and designing the experience for them? True branding is about creating an experience, creating a distinctive voice, and engaging in meaningful ways. It’s about fostering a space where your customers feel part of something larger. Ultimately, a brand that goes beyond the logo doesn’t just exist, it lives in the hearts of those it connects with. How is your brand bringing its story to life? #Beyondthelogo

Branding VS Brand identity. And why 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 matter. 🤝 A lot of people mix them up. I was one of them. Here's the breakdown. 💡 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴: How your audience sees you. ⤷ Values ⤷ Reputation ⤷ Emotional connection 💡 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 i𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆: Visuals that uniquely represent you. ⤷ Icons ⤷ Colours ⤷ Typography ________________________________________________ Both go hand in hand in creating an impression. Focusing only on 1 or the other leads to... Well. No leads. ❌ Pretty designs with no care for customer satisfaction. ✅ Also sharing values that will connect with your audience. ❌ Careless designs whilst only focusing on messaging. ✅ Clean and appealing designs for clarity and readability. Shows you how important it is to have both, right? Did you already know the difference between the two? ✏️

"Logos Are Overrated." I’m tired of hearing people act like it's all about the logo. Because a logo alone doesn’t build trust, loyalty, or brand recognition. When I started crafting brand identities, I obsessed over the logo – spending weeks perfecting it. But what truly mattered were the consistent colors, a relatable tone of voice, and creating an emotional connection. This approach helped customers remember the brand – beyond just its visual mark. It worked out great – stronger emotional ties, deeper loyalty, and long-term growth. I know some designers might disagree, but brand identity is bigger than art. The hard truth: A logo is just a handshake – the personality builds the relationship. If you want your business to stand out, focus on values, tone, and consistency first. Stop obsessing over the perfect logo. Start building the perfect brand identity.

When you’re starting up a new business, creating your brand is the first step. Think of your brand as the identity of your business. It’s how customers will perceive and engage with what you’re trying to do. But where to start? Here are four key areas you need to think about when starting to formulate your brand: 🦸♀️ Mission statement A couple of sentences summarising your brand’s aims and mission. A concise statement telling potential customers, business partners and investors what your brand seeks to achieve and how. 🌟 Brand values 3-5 core values that dictate what your brand stands for. These values will feed into how your brand acts and communicates. 🎨 Visual identity What lots of people think of when they think branding - your brand colours, fonts, logos etc., all of which help to create and communicate your brand's personality. 🔈 Brand voice How your brand talks and how it makes your customers feel. Made up of grammar choices, tonal values and the words you use, on your website, in marketing materials and in communications. #EthicalStartup #SustainableStartup #EthicalBranding #Branding #ClimateTechStartUp

I get this question quite a bit. Is my logo my brand? While it's an important part of your brand's visual identity, it is not your brand's full expression. Your brand is how you show up in the marketplace. What you stand for, how you operate, how you speak to your audience. A logo has a job to do, it needs to represent that in its simplest form. So how do you know if your logo is working for you? Give it a job description. Know your brand inside and out and your visual identity will flow. Unsure if the logo you have is working for you? Most people think Brand building is just about Visual Identity? But I beg to differ. Brand building goes beyond just visual elements like: → logos and colors. A truly strong brand represents: → Core values. → Personality. → Customer promise behind a company. It's the total experience someone has when interacting with your business; → the messaging, service, product quality, and more. The core of building your brand is → Authenticity. → Your branding and actions must align. Most importantly: Building a powerful brand is an ongoing process of nurturing genuine connections by living your brand values daily. *** So, don't just focus on visuals. → Are you ready to brand authentically?
