WHO and 11 Non – State Actors collaborate to advance health services in Tanzania The signing of the MoUs is remarkable in initiating a huge step in Tanzania, where the critical role of partnership to the overall health for all agenda cannot be overemphasized. Currently, there are a number of non-state actors supporting the health sector and this requires strong coordination to promote good governance-accountability and transparency of NGOs’ visibility and strengthen resource mobilization, resource mapping and resource tracking. Thank you Octave MOUMPALA for sharing this bulletin with the latest updates on USAID's GHSC-PSM project in #Burundi. We are very proud to be working together with USAID GHSC-PSM on this impactful project introducing #eLMIS Medexis in all 1100 health facilities in Burundi. The overarching goal of the project is to enhance the #visibility of logistics #data and information at different levels of the #supplychain to ensure a consistent #availability of pharmaceutical products in health facilities across Burundi. In the current phase, a total of 2272 users will be trained in the use of Medexis. Health workers will have access to #onlinelearning platform i+academy for #training materials and resources on #supplychainmanagement. This comprehensive training and support will enhance supply chain management, reduce #expiration, #overstock, and #stockout rates, and ultimately improve #healthcare outcomes for the population of Burundi. We take this opportunity to thank USAID and our other partners and donors, the Burundi Ministry of Public Health and the Fight Against AIDS, the Dutch Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken, The Global Fund, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance and UNICEF for all their support. In recent years, WHO/Europe has deepened and extended its collaboration with Member States, further boosted by the Country Strategy endorsed 2 years ago. Four countries showcased examples of this collaboration and the positive #healthimpact it has made at a side event organized yesterday in the run-up to WHO/Europe’s annual governance meeting, RC74. Romania is advancing in key health areas as part of its National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), guided by the 7-year Country Cooperation Strategy signed with WHO in 2024. Kyrgyzstan is actively engaged in the subregional strategy—the Roadmap for Health and Wellbeing in Central Asia—and hosted the Central Asia International Health Investment Forum, maintaining focus and momentum on health and economic priorities. Malta is launching an NCD Prevention Policy Framework using the insights gained from a WHO Country Support Team. Germany is advancing public health reforms and establishing a prevention institute with support from a WHO Country Counterpart. Bulgaria and WHO sign new framework for collaboration On 1 June, during the Seventy-seventh World Health Assembly, delegates from the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria and from WHO/Europe met to commemorate the signing of the biennial collaborative agreement between WHO and Bulgaria for 2024-2025. The BCA provides a mutually agreed framework for collaboration between Bulgaria and WHO at the country level, guided by WHO's mandate to work towards health for all.
