What role do Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) play in the metering process? 🤔 Delivering electricity directly to users makes DNOs pivotal in the UK’s metering process ✅ DNOs own and operate the wires, cables, poles, transformers and other equipment that take electricity from the National Grid to homes and businesses, providing stability and reliability. Learn more about the other players involved in the metering process, and what they do, in our article linked in the comments 👇

In the metering process, multiple players are involved, from electricity suppliers to meter operators (MOPS) and Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), as well as the Data Collector (DC) and Data Aggregator (DA). Having multiple players has benefits, such as cost competitiveness and flexibility. But there are also negatives, with some suppliers not being as transparent about costs as they could be. Understand more about the pros and cons of a multi-layered metering process in our latest article, linked in the comments 👇

👀 Here's a look behind the scenes of the P3 institute, where car chargers were tested in cooperation with Auto Bild. Our go-e Charger Gemini 2.0 received a "good" rating, scoring 1.5. ⚡ 👍 P3 and Auto Bild highlighted its seamless integration with the go-e Controller and its compatibility with third-party energy management systems. Further points were won by its advanced functionalities such as PV surplus charging and dynamic electricity tariffs. The go-e Charger's easy installation was another point of praise, requiring minimal wiring and no opening of the charger shell. 🛠️ Our team appreciates the valuable in-depth assessment P3 and Autobild provide, detailing strengths as well as potential for improvement and further development, to expand its functions and ensure it runs as smoothly as clockwork. ⚙️ For more details on the testing procedure, visit our YouTube channel: https://bit.ly/4f7y1YK

🧟♂️ 10GW of "zombie" connection projects have been laid to rest. 👍 Energy Networks Association (ENA) revealed the substantial freeing up of capacity had been made possible through its Strategic Connections Group, with network operators, the regulator and system operator working together to take stalled or speculative schemes out of the connections queue. 🔋 The plan is to go further still in future to deliver a more effective and cohesive connection process between the transmission and distribution networks - with next steps include exploring potential code changes or new licence alterations to make this happen. 👀 Read more on our website (link in comments) on the work being done.
