DNAs (Did Not Attend) are costing the NHS an estimated £1.6 billion a year, further compounding the issue of the elective backlog.
Understanding why people fail to attend their appointments is often quite complex - but what if we could better understand the reasons why people DNA, and both identify and proactively intervene to prevent them happening? 💡
On October 23rd, we'll show you how.
Join us for a special product event, where we'll unpack the DNA problem in the
#NHS and show how new, exciting technology is the missing piece to solving the puzzle 💚
Hi. Thanks for the session.
It was interesting to watch the demo, how does this apply to patients with communication difficulties, such as hearing impairments?
Abstract submission is still open for #ACVC2025. This is something we might want to consider next year when we have more results on #JACARDI, as it seems that they are not accepting abstracts which are in status "Work in progress". #ESC#preventingNCDs#preventingCVDs
The abstract submission deadline for #ACVC2025 has been extended to 5 November! 📣 There’s still time to submit your research and become a key part of the community shaping the future of life-saving cardiac care.
Don’t forget, the deadline for clinical cases is 7 November – so finalise your submissions, share your knowledge and make every second count! ⏰ https://bit.ly/48H0pj3#ACVC_ESC#cvacute
RSNA24 is officially in the rear-view mirror, and I’m signing off the week feeling exhausted, encouraged, and incredibly grateful.
Exhausted:
I am reflecting on four of the busiest days I’ve experienced in my professional career!
That’s all it took to cram what felt like a month’s worth of activity into one whirlwind week:
✅ 38 scheduled meetings (and let’s not forget the 18 unscheduled ones that kept things lively).
✅ 5 dinners with amazing customers and colleagues—yes, that includes 2 dinners in one night because, well (pause), it's RSNA.
✅ Welcoming 4 new customers to the DataFirst family!
✅ Shooting a new testimonial video with our wonderful partner, Everlight Radiology.
Check out that video today - https://lnkd.in/eiWHpxVB
✅ Engaging in 2 press interviews.
Encouraged:
I can’t think of a more exciting time to be in healthcare! Incredibly optimistic with the pace of innovation, the brilliance of emerging technologies, and the growing impact of predictive modeling on patient care.
Grateful:
To our incredible customers and partners who have entrusted Datafirst with improving clinical workflows by driving intelligence into enterprise imaging!
Your partnership and passion fuel what we do!
Now it’s time for some rest (and catching up on all those emails). Until next year, RSNA—what a ride!

P.S. Stay tuned—2025 is on the horizon, and DataFirst has some exciting innovations on the road ahead! Buckle up!
💬 "It's easy to view DNAs as mere numbers and statistics. The reality is far more complex and very human. Behind every DNA is a person - each with a unique set of circumstances, challenges and justifiable reasons around why they fail to make their appointment.
Patients are lost in the system - what if we could find them?"

On my way to EACTS 2024 in Lisbon/Portugal and very much looking forward to reunions, interesting presentations, conversations and meetings!
Beyond the impressive, short and long term results of cf-LVADs, there are many groups of patients who need a VAD system adjustable and customisable to their needs. One size does not fit all.
Come by our booth to discuss some of the following topics:
🔹Bridge to life for failing Fontan patients? Where are we with #EXCORRevive?
🔹Significant improved survival for children below 5 and below 10 kgs?
🔹Are there differences in the outcome of patients between 17 and 42 kgs supported with different kinds of VADs?
🔹Class 1 recommendation in the ISHLT guidelines 2023 for EXCOR BVAD, what does this mean for your current treatment portfolio?
🔹Class 2b recommendation in the ISHLT guidelines does not the Hybrid cf-LVAD plus EXCOR RVAD - does it work? PD Dr. Bastian Schmack, MHH Hannover/Germany, will present new data on Thursday at 5 pm!
🔹Quality of life improvements achieved with the EXCOR Active driver - what does it mean for patients, their families, the caregivers, cost and the hospitals?
We would love to welcome you at our booth and give you an update!

Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center embarked on a mission to revolutionize stroke care, aiming to drastically reduce treatment times for life-saving outcomes. Facing challenges with the speed of care delivery, BSLMC knew that enhancing communication and workflows among the stroke care team was crucial.
By integrating TigerConnect's Clinical Collaboration Platform with Decisio's clinical decision support, BSLMC transformed how they assess and treat stroke patients, achieving more timely care.
Discover the journey of BSLMC in our case study and learn how real-time communication leads to life-saving care delivery.

As we continue our lead-up to #RSNA2024, Dr Subhasis Basu, a consultant musculoskeletal radiologist at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust, shares his experience with Rayvolve®.
According to Dr Basu, Rayvolve® provides added support for radiologists reporting in medical images. AI acts as a "second pair of eyes," helping clinicians confidently identify subtle fractures—particularly when there is uncertainty about their presence or absence. This additional support has also proven useful for junior doctors and nurse practitioners in A&E departments when evaluating imaging as part of their patient assessments.
👉 Interested in learning more about our Rayvolve® AI Suite? Meet the AZteam from December 1st to 4th at RSNA! Book an on-site demo with them in advance: https://lnkd.in/eDC7GkRMRadiological Society of North America (RSNA)#RSNA#AZmedRSNA#RSNA24#Rayvolve
I think we can all value “a 2nd pair of eyes 👀 “ in our practices.
✅ Any help & support to healthcare workers particularly those who do not have formal training in radiology & image interpretation should find #AI a helpful adjunct to existing clinical practices
✅ Humans🧍♂️🧍♀️still rule over tech in some ways & working collaboratively with #AI is the way forwards in delivering safe & efficient healthcare to the masses

My session on the implications of the published provider selection regime panel reviews on Wednesday is looking to be more popular than my session on how prices might be changing for 25/26 which has surprised me.
This got me curious as to what have been my most popular events recently so in terms of highest volume attending (so excludes DNAs):
250 April 24/25 payment guidance
169 Jan 24/25 update
147 Nov Quarterly Catchups
145 Oct 25/26 Signaled changes
142 July real world patient Choice learning
138 Oct Patient Choice: Accreditation
Feel quite pleased with those numbers...
Having a look at the PSR panel review outcomes and what is could mean for current/futures procurements under the PSR
