Institute of Directors in New Zealand makes an important contribution to governance in New Zealand through advocacy that no other governance organisation does. We've had some success recently with forthcoming changes to the Companies Act 1993 outlined by the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, and particularly on moves to remove the requirement for publication of directors residential addresses. We can do this because we have data from directors on boards from the annual Director Sentiment Survey. For that reason, we're wanting to hear your voice as a director, to hear what matters to you and where your focus is. We're seeking views from directors of the smallest not for profit with a board through to the largest NZX/ASX listed company directors; from the directors of large family owned company boards to the smallest SME and start up with a board.
