BREAKING NEWS- The waiting is over Noble Corporation & Diamond Offshore are days away from the Mega-Merger like none other. (Expected 4th September 2024) It’s been reported that the regulatory bodies have aligned and both Diamond and Noble have a clear path forward for the Industries highly anticipated merger to start turning to the right. Following the earlier announcement in June 2024 the waiting period had expired in July 2024 under the HSR Anti-trust Improvement Acts we could be a matter of days for an announcement. We have all seen the previously reported news including the numbers and many doubted it, well it looks like it’s about to happen, if it already hasn’t. Why not protect the last line of defense from stripping damage? Next time your POA calls for stripping through the annular think MAKO / APT technology. Not only [SAFE] but reduced NPT to boot.

How about a deepwater MPD system with 10k working? What about a system with precise realtime WOB indication How about a system that totally isolates the riser from the wellbore How about a system with test requirements that for exceed anything that the IRJ could ever achieve What about a system that can be deployed as planned for a hole section or at a moments notice if needed What would API 16 RCD test requirements look like if you could: Eliminate stripping through static seals Eliminate constant lubrication on bearing Eliminate stripping tong damaged tool joints Eliminate stripping hard bands Eliminate FAT test that allows up to 90% pressure loss (pointless) NPT Eliminate all the wellbore prep to pull for repair Eliminate boating the IRJ to shore base Eliminate logistics to & from repair center Eliminate reinstall & test Eliminate the time to return wellbore back to MPD mode Eliminate the millions in NPT ($30 mil on one that I know about) How about eliminating the HSE implications that accompany all these movements?
