New tools make it simple for anyone to build software with no code. Gone are the days of raising millions, hiring developers, and racking your own servers. If you have a micro SaaS idea, you’re in luck. Here’s how you can build your first SaaS in five simple steps with zero code. Step 1: Wireframe Your App Wireframing helps you visualize your app without building functionality. It’s crucial to see if your idea is feasible and appealing. - Use Figma to create a wireframe. - Hire a product dev. studio if you need professional help. - Include a description and features list for clarity. Once your wireframe is ready, it’s time to validate your idea. Step 2: Validate Your Idea Validation ensures there’s demand for your app before development. Gathering feedback can save you time and money. - Show your wireframe to potential users. - Use Reddit, Discord, and LinkedIn to get honest feedback. - Look for brutally honest feedback to refine your idea. With validation, you’ll know if your idea has potential and what to improve. Step 3: Build Your MVP An MVP focuses on the core feature your users need. It’s about launching quickly and refining based on real user feedback. - Use Bubble to create the core feature. - Integrate APIs for additional functionalities. - Avoid perfectionism and focus on the essential features. Building an MVP quickly allows you to start testing with real users. Step 4: Create Media Assets Media assets help build an audience and generate interest before launch. Content marketing is key to attracting early adopters. - Start social media accounts relevant to your app’s niche. - Engage with your audience through posts and updates. - Create a simple landing page to capture email signups. Having an audience ready can make your launch much more successful. Step 5: Launch on Product Hunt A well-executed launch can bring significant attention and users. Product Hunt is a platform where tech enthusiasts discover new products. - Prepare a compelling product page and demo video. - Schedule your launch, promote it, and gather upvotes. - Leverage your existing audience to boost your launch day. A successful Product Hunt launch can provide the initial user base you need. With the right approach and tools, building and launching a SaaS product is within your reach. Ready to start your journey? Comment below with your micro SaaS idea!

Testing your SaaS idea's potential without an MVP? Sounds impossible, right? Wrong. Let me walk you through it. First, let's demystify MVP - Minimum Viable Product. It's the simplest version of your product that provides sufficient value to attract early users. But what if you could test the waters without even building one? Here's how: ↳ 1. Conduct Market Research: Identify your target audience and ask the right questions. Understand their pain points, needs, and desires. Trust me, their insights are invaluable. ↳ 2. Prototype: Create a visual or interactive prototype of your idea. Use tools like Figma or Sketch. It won't be perfect, but it will give people an idea of what you're offering. ↳ 3. Pre-Sell: Start selling before you build. Offer early access or discounted rates. This will not only validate your idea but also help fund your MVP. ↳ 4. Analyze Competition: Look at what your competitors are doing. What's working for them? What's not? Learn from their mistakes and successes. ↳ 5. Build a Landing Page: A well-designed landing page can do wonders. Promote your idea, collect emails, and gauge interest. ↳ 6. Run Ads: Consider running small-scale ads on platforms like Google or Facebook. This can give you an idea of how many people are interested in your product. ↳ 7. Talk to Experts: Connect with industry experts. They've been there, done that, and their insights can save you a lot of time and resources. The goal is to gather as much information as possible before you start building. It's about learning fast, and learning cheap. It's about problem-solving. It's about making sure your SaaS idea has actual potential.

I wish I had a time machine… In 2022, I spun up a bot on Bubble’s RFP page which helped me book nearly 70 discovery calls in 6 weeks. 90% of the prospects were SaaS founders. They either had: 1. no MVP, no figma, rough idea 2. no MVP & no figma, well-developped idea 4. They had no MVP but had a Figma 3. they had a MVP, which they wanted completely rebuilt 4. They had a MVP, but needed help building integrations They were all looking for the same thing: “I have this idea in my head, help me make it a reality” So I did. I wrote 16 proposals & closed 10 of them. In the following 12 months, I’ve worked with 30+ founders, helping build nearly 20 SaaS products. Here’s the amazing case-study: 10 of them are nowhere to be found today. Gone. Kapout. Website = Error 404. 1 is paused & 2 got sold for parts on Acquire.com Thankfully, the others are alive & well 🤙 —— Here’s what I observed the failed ones had in common: 1. They started building off an unvalidated idea 2. They didn’t talk to customers daily (or more-often-than-not, AT ALL) 3. Their mentality was to wait for the product to be ready before they’d start selling 4. They never started talking about it on LinkedIn/Twitter/IG/YT 5. They didn’t use the mockups / Figma design to get sign-ups 6. By the time the MVP was done, the founders were like “cool, now i can get started” —— This whole SaaS founder thing sounds exciting from the outside, but when you’re 6+ weeks into it, that’s when reality hits. Momentum, momentum, momentum. Not just on the product-side, but on the customer-development side — is imperative in order to create traction. Too much product-dev, not enough customer-dev — results in building something people don’t want to use. —— There’s already good risk that your tech doesn’t work as expected, and that the people who said they’d need it.. don’t. This is somewhat out of your control. However, the one thing that is in your control is the order in which you do things. Customer-Development, AKA having conversations with customers (including prospects) — is the CHEAPEST & HIGHEST ROI thing a founder can do — especially in the early stages of the company. If I had a time-machine, I’d go upsell a Customer-Development phase to all my clients — and refuse to work with the ones that don’t take it. But I don’t have a time-machine. I stopped building SaaS MVPs because the failure rate of my clients was too high. I felt their failures as my own, and that’s why I started ProductMarketFit.io… and more recently Face2Face.io — both ventures are here to help early-stage founders build sh*t people actually want to use. —— My advice to early-stage SaaS founders: talk to your customers face-to-face — and do it often — make it a priority — make it a thing you do — make it your second nature That’s what I’m doing at F2F — and it’s the only thing I don’t plan to delegate anytime soon 🤙 PS: if you have a time machine, plz LMK

You’ve done the hard part—built a problem-solving SaaS product. But here’s the big question: Why aren’t people signing up? Picture this: You’ve got traffic. People are checking out your platform. You’re so close to converting them… but then, they leave. No sign-ups. No new users. Frustrating, right? This is exactly what happened to one of my recent clients, a SaaS startup with an amazing tool. Their product had all the potential, but their sign-ups? Practically frozen. Here’s the truth: It wasn’t their product’s fault. The problem was on their landing page. It was overwhelming. Visitors didn’t know what to do next. No clear CTA, too much information, and worst of all, the value of their product was hidden in a sea of text. Here’s how we turned things around: Step 1: Clarify the Value We reworked the messaging to focus on one thing: what their tool could do for their customers. We simplified the headline and made it crystal clear why visitors should care in just 3 seconds. Step 2: Remove Friction Their sign-up process? Way too complicated. So, we streamlined it. No more unnecessary steps or information overload. Just a quick, intuitive sign-up form that gets users started right away. Step 3: Mobile-First Experience SaaS buyers are on the go, and their mobile version was lacking. We rebuilt it with a mobile-first mindset, creating a seamless experience from any device. Step 4: Build Trust One major issue? The testimonials on their page lacked impact. No images, no company logos, and they were hidden at the bottom of the page—hardly noticeable. Visitors had no real proof that the product delivered value. Without strong trust signals, people were hesitant to commit. The result? More engaged users. Your SaaS product deserves more than a landing page that lets potential customers slip away. If you're ready to turn visitors into loyal users, let’s work together and make it happen! Here's what I've learned while preparing a teardown of a SaaS. Its easy to launch a full product, but its hard to launch an MVP with limited time. No matter how bad a product is, the landing page, its copy, desing - you name it... They still make money and provide value, despite it being garbage. Why? Because the market wants a product like that. The products only get better if there is a competition to them. However, execution is hard. Thus, majority never launch - and those who do launch have garbage products. Which is fair game plan, and a ggood strategy. You launch and you iterate later, meanwhile getting known, getting user feedback, making money, and yeah... That being said, it means there is room for improvement. The key is to launch a product, and improve it. Take for example Webflow, I felt this is it, that has tha market share, no one going to challenge it because its hard to replicate etc... Wrong. There is a need for alternatives, and innovation. I'm building something better than webflow, even though it might sound arrogant, every business that exists, the CEO told themself, "I can do better". I don't believe a niche matters. Any niche I choose, I can crush it. What matters is to execute and launch. I've seen way too many broken products make money. This is outrageous! The same goes with offering services. I'll be posting a video and or a blog post of me tearing down a SaaS l and and page and improving it soon. There's a lot of opportunities out there. Its all about the mindset and executing an MVP. Everything else is easy.

6moThis is very interesting and useful. Allowing people to use the product without even signing up, allows to track potential customers behavior, and even receive feedback if the system has built-in feature requests and bug reporting.
