Meet Chris Fagan 🦁 , the coach of the Brisbane Lions AFL team, who just led his team to a Grand Final victory. 🥉 At 63, he’s the oldest coach to achieve this and the first to win without playing at the elite level. 💪 But what truly sets Fagan apart is his leadership style. Fagan is a game-changer. Rather than coaching in the traditional sense, he guides, mentors, and manages his players, helping them harness their unique strengths for the benefit of the team. His leadership is a reminder that great leaders don’t mould people into their image—they empower them to be their best selves. It took eight years, with five finals appearances before securing the title. Patience, trust, and focusing on team culture were key. In an era of instant gratification, where success is expected quickly, the Brisbane Lions could have easily replaced Fagan when results weren’t immediate.
