Did you know that trees are among the leading causes of power outages? The most important preventative measure Blue Mountain can take to mitigate the risks of power outages is vegetation management. At Blue Mountain Power Co-op, we care about delivering power safely and reliably. Trees growing too close to power lines can lead to power outages and safety risks. Vegetation management methods may include pruning, tree and brush removal, mulching, and herbicide application. Keep an eye out for our contractors who are proactively surveying potential issues and identifying vegetation that may need maintenance. We will notify you when vegetation management is required. If your site is identified, one of our team members will contact you directly to discuss vegetation management. We appreciate your patience as there is often close to a year between the time our team surveys your site and the crews arrive to complete the work. Please call our workers back if they leave you a voicemail or note on your door. How can Municipal Utility Districts (MUDs) or HOAs efficiently manage stormwater ponds and avoid costly violations? The key is consistent, proactive maintenance. Water Quality Ponds in Central Texas face unique challenges, from heavy sedimentation to erosion issues. Without routine inspections, these ponds can quickly fall out of compliance, leading to penalties and even environmental risks. By setting up a maintenance plan that includes regular inspections, sediment removal, and vegetation control, HOAs/MUDs can keep their ponds functional and compliant. Working with a team that understands local regulations—like BPI Partners—ensures that all necessary maintenance is handled efficiently and cost-effectively. Call us at (512) 288-5522 so we can work together to keep your ponds compliant and your property protected!

In a service area where 75 percent of distribution lines are threatened by trees and vegetation located outside the right of way (ROW), a robust vegetation management program is necessary. Our program has successfully decreased outages caused by trees falling out of the ROW by more than 80 percent. Read more about how the program works: https://lnkd.in/gfMPCS7y
