I recently attended a HealthTech VC event hosted by InterSystems and it was a refreshing opportunity to hear from some of the leading voices in healthcare innovation. The room was filled with a mix of founders, clinicians, investors, and industry leaders, all focused on the future of health and technology.
One key message stood out: the healthcare landscape is shifting rapidly, and emerging trends will define the next wave of disruption. While macro trends like drug discovery, ageing populations, FemTech, and AI are shaping the sector, there’s still room to innovate beyond what’s already established.
A particularly interesting discussion focused on AI’s role in healthcare. AI’s predictive power could be a game-changer, making preventative healthcare more viable—and potentially more profitable—than reactive care.
It was encouraging to see a collective drive to tackle the challenges in MedTech and push innovation forward.
The event offered valuable insights that tie into what I’m currently working on during my 5-9 —looking forward to sharing more very soon.
Thank you to the amazing panel Evgeny Shvarov (InterSystems) Agata Maria Bendik (Plug and Play Tech Center), Jed Rose (Antler) and Paolo Pio (Exceptional Ventures)

1moThere are so many brilliant and talented people with interesting backgrounds that are overlooked because they don't have the connections, don't have access to pathways to build connections, or aren't in those ponds. What innovations are we missing out on???
