The real estate mafia (they advertise bigly, so outlets cater to their business needs front page) has a point: "companies give very little attention to their remote workers". All managers from the lowest levels to the upper echelon have been ingrained to work in-office. Programmed to do so. Then they couldn't find enough (younger) people to work in the office anymore. So they started hiring remote, called it hybrid in-office and remote combined. But without any change to the workings of the company. Hybrid or pure remote work requires drastic changes to procedure, tools and management style. It is what it is.

Return to the Office policies are great! A friend and fellow remote leader recently shared something with me that hit home: “I’m loving all this RTO talk. Remote work has never been better. I’m getting over 6,000 applications from top-tier talent being called back to the office, and as a fully remote company, we get to pick from the best.” The reality is simple: fully remote companies attract the best talent.
