Yesterday was one of those days when I had to pinch myself. I’ve been at an offsite in Ireland with 90+ executive leaders from PepsiCo delivering our #CulturalIntelligence Masterclass 🙌🏻 What a privilege to be able to take a deep-dive into the world of CQ with global leaders hungry to better understand how they can grow their CQ capabilities to effectively navigate a divided world of diverse people, ideas, and markets. 4 questions every culturally intelligent leaders asks themselves daily are: ✅ Which diverse perspectives am I missing for the decisions I need to make? ✅ How does my position influence the feedback I’m receiving? ✅ What is happening externally I need to address? ✅ How will I adapt my approach to effectively lead my team? Thanks Team PepsiCo for having Minaxi Mistry and I; we look forward to taking our partnership to new heights. #CQ #Diversity #Equity #Inclusion #Belonging #InclusionMatters #InclusiveLeadership

At LS International, we are always exploring how diversity and inclusion can shape the future of leadership. Recently, I came across an inspiring example from Diageo, a company that has made remarkable strides in transforming its leadership and marketing to better reflect the world we live in. In the past, the typical image of a whisky drinker was a man in a suit. But today, Diageo’s advertising reflects a broader, more inclusive approach, and showcases people from diverse backgrounds, genders, and ethnicities. This shift has not only helped their brands resonate with a wider customer base but also driven incredible business performance. What’s even more inspiring is that Diageo’s diversity efforts extend beyond their marketing. They’ve appointed the first-ever female Master Blender for Johnnie Walker, with women now occupying 44% of leadership roles. Their efforts go even further, with 46% of leadership roles filled by people from ethnically diverse backgrounds, and a goal to achieve 50% women in leadership roles by 2030. These numbers aren’t just about meeting quotas, they reflect a genuine commitment to diversity and inclusivity at all levels of the business. What really resonated with me was the idea that inclusivity isn’t an "either/or" but complementary to business performance. In fact, Diageo’s commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment has proven to be a strategic advantage. By making sure their teams are representative of the broad global market they serve, Diageo has unlocked access to a richer talent pool and a deeper understanding of their customers. As someone who has spent years working with C-suite leaders and shaping high-performance teams, I can attest to the power of diverse perspectives in leadership. Leaders who embrace diversity bring fresh ideas, challenge the status quo, and create stronger, more resilient organizations. At LS International, we are committed to helping companies build diverse, high-performing leadership teams that reflect the global nature of the business world. If you’re interested in learning how diversity can shape your leadership strategy, let’s connect. #DiversityAndInclusion #Leadership #DiversityInLeadership #Business #LSInternational

If you need proof that inclusivity and business performance aren’t mutually exclusive, look no further than Indra Nooyi. In her 12 years as PepsiCo Chairman and CEO, she built a diverse, high-performing team — and nearly doubled its revenue. We’re honored to count her among our judges for Chief’s inaugural The New Era of Leadership Awards. Together, we’re celebrating executive women and organizations who are driving change from the top. It’s like she told Chief Members: “I think some people appoint a D&I officer and say, 'It's done. I got a D&I officer.' Everybody has to own D&I. It starts with the CEO and goes down. It should be in their incentive. It should be part of their whole recruiting and talent development zeitgeist. It can't be, 'Talk to the D&I person.' No, I'm the leader of my business, I own it.” Know an executive woman or organization that’s walking the walk of inclusivity and impact in their own leadership? Nominate them for The New Era of Leadership Awards by March 31: https://lnkd.in/dEg8A5Be

October may have been the month of tricks, but we had a real treat celebrating Global Diversity Month. This global initiative, created by Yum!, encouraged all of our Pan-Europe teams to participate in a range of organised events, training, and activities to shine a light on diversity and inclusivity, and their importance at KFC. Among other events, our highlights included: 1. An Inclusive Leadership Training This gave our Restaurant Support Centres, Western Europe Business Unit, and Central & Eastern Europe teams an insight into what inclusive leadership should (and does) look like. This year, we're aiming to train as many of our team leaders as possible, to continue improving our business for everyone. 2. KFC EIB Neurodiversity Program For Global Diversity Month, our EIB Program ran a session on Neurodiversity, focusing on ADHD. This gave our teams information on how to support and understand others who are neurodiverse, whilst also showing those with ADHD how they can find the help they need to reach their potential. ❤️ Throughout the year we’ll continue hosting amazing events to celebrate all things diversity and inclusion, and how it makes KFC, KFC, and our people, The Originals. Stay tuned to see what else we've got up our sleeves. 🐔 #TheOriginals #GlobalDiversityMonth

🌱 **The Cross Over Between High-Performance Culture and Team Success** In *The Five Dysfunctions of a Team* by Patrick Lencioni, there are five key areas teams must address to reach peak performance: - Absence of trust - Fear of conflict - Lack of commitment - Avoidance of accountability - Inattention to results At PepsiCo, the *Ways of Working* align closely with these principles, creating a high-performance culture that drives success. When we: - Act as owners and take responsibility, we build trust within the team. - Voice our opinions fearlessly to engage in healthy conflict, leading to stronger commitment. - Stay consumer-centric and focused, which keeps everyone accountable and results-driven. - Raise the bar on talent and diversity, ensuring we grow together as a team. - Celebrate success and act with integrity, creating a culture where everyone feels valued. The synergy between these approaches shows that when we do this intimately, it drives a high-performance culture that thrives on trust, accountability, and results. #HighPerformanceCulture #TeamSuccess #PepsiCo #Leadership #5Dysfunctions #Teamwork #Integrity #Growth

Improvement Begins with ‘I’ True transformation starts with a conscious choice to improve ourselves before impacting others. The most successful leaders and changemakers understand that personal accountability is the foundation of meaningful change. Here are a few real-life examples that demonstrate the power of taking that first step: Indra Nooyi’s Listening Mindset When Indra Nooyi became CEO of PepsiCo, she committed to understanding every layer of the company by listening deeply to her employees and customers. Her commitment to personal growth through empathy and communication transformed PepsiCo’s culture and aligned it with her vision of sustainable growth. Howard Schultz’s Empathy at Starbucks Howard Schultz, CEO of Starbucks, stepped back to understand the struggles of his employees and took steps to improve their well-being. His focus on developing a people-centric company culture brought back Starbucks’ brand strength by putting his personal empathy into action. Oprah Winfrey’s Self-Reflection Oprah Winfrey’s journey to success was built on continuous self-reflection and growth. She constantly sought self-improvement by understanding her purpose and aligning her work with it, becoming an inspiration for many to embrace personal growth as the catalyst for professional success. Improvement truly begins with "I" – it’s a commitment to change from within, a decision to grow, and an opportunity to uplift those around us. Let's embrace this journey and inspire others along the way! Thoughts?? Follw for more! #SelfImprovement #PersonalGrowth #Leadership #Accountability #ContinuousLearning #Inspiration #GrowthMindset #LeadershipDevelopment #Corporate

Without leadership buy-in, DEI can’t thrive. A culture of inclusion does not happen by accident. Unsuccessful DEI initiatives involve leaders who: - Don’t truly believe in inclusion - Don’t truly care about belonging - Don’t truly understand the benefits Lackluster leadership buy-in means: - little to no resources - little to no support - little to no impact Authenticity from higher-ups fuel inclusion. Inauthenticity fuels tokenism & bare compliance. But how can leaders show up for their employees? 1.) Lead by example: - practice inclusive behaviors - participate in DEI initiatives - promote open dialogue 2.) Invest in education: - implement continuous training - involve everyone with resources - implement development opportunities 3.) Set Goals & Accountability - ensure accountability (esp. from management) - establish measurable & attainable goals - evaluate actual progress made DEI initiative success is directly linked to one thing: The commitment and support of leadership. ♻️ Repost to share the role of leadership buy-in #ndeam #disability #disabilityInclusion #accessibility #dei #deia #belonging #diversity #ally #disabilityAlly #hr #leadership #culture [image description: Picture of me in a light blue suit sitting forward on a chair with a social media post graphic above my head that says DEI success relies on leadership support ]

🌟 Inspiration from a Leader 🌟 Today, I had the incredible opportunity to meet Yokasta Rodrigues our Senior Director of Operations and Franchising for EMEA at McDonald's. I was truly inspired by her humility and openness as she shared both her professional and personal achievements, along with the challenges she overcame to reach her current position. Here are some key pieces of advice that stood out to me: ★ Embrace Rejection: Don’t be afraid of hearing "NO." If you don’t speak up, the chance of a "NO" is guaranteed. However, with courage, you can shift that probability to 50/50. ★ Prioritize Yourself: To give more to others, be selfish at times. Always put yourself first. ★ Build Connections: Connect with other women to share challenges and empower each other through shared experiences. ★ Take Action: Don’t wait for the "right" time. Career progression is a journey. Take it step by step and learn along the way. I look forward to our next meeting and continuing to learn from such inspiring leader! #Leadership #CareerAdvice #WomenEmpowerment #Inspiration
