East Belfast Mission’s Post

One week after our annual Northern Ireland Resources Network members' event at Stormont, we are reflecting on the positive emails and comments we have received from our members and supporters. The day was very relaxed yet the Long Gallery was buzzing with energy as we showcased the activities of some of the NIRN members who make up the network. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making this event so special. Our network members and attendees brought enthusiastic participation and support, while our keynote speakers provided insightful presentations. The exhibitors in our Reuse and Repair Hub showcased their reuse and repair skills, with the team at FTDC and TFS crafting our tote bags and unique bow ties for Minister Muir. Thank you Elaine, Debs and Sue for creating these items from reused materials. We are also grateful to the The National Lottery Climate Action Fund for funding the inspiring production of "Story of the Jumper," and to our dedicated Board for their ongoing guidance and support. Our amazing host, BBC correspondent Louise Cullen, made the event at Stormont truly memorable with her own personal passion for the environment clearly visible. We deeply appreciate the essential funding from DAERA, the stunning graphics by Mark Willet, and the illustrations from the USFolk. Additionally, we thank Eimear McNally for her fantastic graphic harvesting and Rosalind Skillen for her outstanding podcasting. The Stormont catering team looked after us extremely well and our trusty videographers, Rory and Danny did a marvelous job as always. Thank you all for helping us bring this event to life so beautifully. We look forward to many more inspiring gatherings in the future!
