Eatthis. ’s Post

💫 Before we take a bite out of 2025, let's savor the highlights of a dynamic and inspiring 2024. This year, we deepened connections, drove innovation, and celebrated the transformative power of horticulture. Here’s what we accomplished: 🌿 Partnering with Caring Doctors We advanced plant-based nutrition in healthcare through residencies, events, and initiatives like the Caring Dinners and a podcast at Hortibiz News & Media, laying the groundwork for sustainable food systems in Dutch hospitals. 📸 Showcasing "Food for Thought" Our collaboration with Kadir Van Lohuizen brought the vital role of horticulture in global food systems to life through exhibitions, debates, and international media, reaching millions and sparking meaningful dialogue. 🌱 Driving Innovation with Hungry EcoCities This EU-funded program by STARTS connects entrepreneurs, artists, and horticulture leaders to envision solutions for sustainable urban food systems, with events that placed horticulture at the forefront of urban sustainability discussions. 🫶 Fostering Collaboration through Unconferences From amplifying network synergies in February to exploring horticulture’s role in healthcare in November, these gatherings cultivated impactful connections across sectors. 🤝 Building New Partnerships We joined forces with organizations like the World Horti Center, Slow Food Youth Network (SFYN) Nederland, and WUR Student Challenges to amplify horticulture’s role in health and sustainability. 🎨 Inspiring Residencies We hosted residencies that bridged horticulture with art, health, and innovation, creating podcasts, exhibitions, and new perspectives. Upcoming residencies in 2025 will continue this creative momentum. Looking ahead, 2025 promises more exciting collaborations, from new residencies to the unveiling of Hungry EcoCities prototypes at GreenTech and plant-based healthcare programs at the World Horti Center Health Square. Thank you for joining us in 2024. Together, let’s keep shaping a thriving #futureoffood!
