Over ons

Dutch Greenhouse Delta markets the Dutch greenhouse horticulture worldwide as a cluster. We do this by offering the entire horticultural eco-system of Fork2Farm, consisting of science, enterprise, education and government, in a number of focus regions. Dutch Greenhouse Delta has the ambition to contribute to the provision of healthy, affordable, nutritious and safe food that is produced sustainably and locally. We focus on large-scale complex projects and issues relating to food and horticulture in expanding mega-cities. At the present time, over 25 greenhouse horticulture companies and the branch organisations AVAG and LTO Glaskracht are affiliated, all of whom are contributing to the realisation of the foundation's activities.

  • In November, Dutch Greenhouse Delta travelled to India with a clear goal: driving innovation and building partnerships to transform the food system! 🌱🍓🇮🇳 The visit revealed a sector on the move. Indian industry and government are pushing for sustainable solutions, creating opportunities for collaboration in high-tech greenhouses, resource efficiency, and food security. Agreements like the MoU’s with SANDHU GREENS and Fragaria, and the new connections with growers and investors showed the potential is massive. India isn’t waiting—it’s happening now. We are therefore expanding with a clear mid-tech approach in India, creating even more opportunities in this growing market. The mission reinforced one message: together, we can create impactful solutions for a sustainable future. We thank all our partners and co-organizers InnovationQuarter, Rotterdam Partners, Netherlands Embassy in India and Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO) for making this journey possible. 🤝

  • Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting Mr.Olim Kasimov, CEO of the TIP Center (Trade and Innovation Project Center) in #Uzbekistan, alongside Mr.Muzaffar Mukaramov from the Uzbek Embassy in Belgium. It was truly inspiring to meet such an enthusiastic and forward-thinking leader who recognizes the value of the Netherlands’ expertise in: 🌱 Advanced Agriculture 📚 Education and Research 💧 Water Resource Management Mr. Kasimov shared the Uzbek government’s ambition to strengthen ties with the Netherlands in these areas, highlighting his dedication to leveraging his extensive public-sector experience to align the private sector with a sustainable development strategy. Together with Mariska Dreschler from GreenTech and Pieter van der Marel from KUBO Group, we showcased the strength of the Dutch horticultural sector and discussed how to bring key stakeholders together through platforms that foster mutual learning, understanding, and innovation. This collaboration presents a tremendous opportunity for the Netherlands to be more present in Uzbekistan, share knowledge and innovations, assist with addressing critical local challenges. We are excited about the next steps in this promising partnership and the chance to contribute to Uzbekistan’s sustainable development goals. #Innovation #Sustainability #Netherlands #Uzbekistan #Collaboration #Horticulture #CEA #CentralAsia

  • The Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality (LVVN) hosted a visit from the Japan Greenhouse Horticulture Association (JGHA), chaired by Mr. Ode and joined by Mr. Fujimura. Dutch Greenhouse Delta had the opportunity to join this meeting, which provided a great platform for exchanging ideas and exploring ways to strengthen collaboration.   The discussions delved into policy, energy efficiency, and innovation. We highlighted how DGD contributes to horticulture’s sustainable growth through collaboration between government, education, and business, while also strengthening relationships with key Japanese stakeholders like JGHA.   With Expo Osaka 2025 on the horizon, this meeting provided valuable insights into Japan’s horticultural challenges and opportunities, while also showcasing Dutch expertise!

  • Last week, we joined the LVVN Attaché Netwerk Event at World Horti Center, where 60 agricultural advisors from around the world gathered to exchange ideas!    For Dutch Greenhouse Delta, it was an ideal moment to engage with agricultural attachés from our focus regions and to explore new markets. Their local insights and networks are invaluable in linking Dutch expertise to global opportunities and challenges. Our communications specialist Ysabel van der Meer represented DGD and looks back on an inspiring meeting, marked by a shared commitment to sustainable horticultural solutions.   We look forward to further strengthening our partnership with the LVVN network as we work together towards a more sustainable future of farming! 🌱
