We all know #Plastics have been an #environmental hazard, but specifically #Microplastics given a serious concern, which is found in most #remote areas on the #Planet, such as #water, polar icecaps, #Ocean. What's shocking is, it is found in #humans through the tiny #debris enters our bodies. To remove that, researchers from #Bengaluru designed an #sustainable hydrogel. Today is World Ozone Day 🌎 a day that is celebrated worldwide to raise awareness and teach us how we can all contribute to preserving our planet. One way we contribute to a healthier planet is through regenerative farming practices that help farmers improve water retention, maintain crop yields, increase farm productivity, enhance climate resilience, and heal the ozone layer. Agro-food forests act as carbon sinks, absorbing carbon dioxide from the air and storing it in their biomass and soils. This reduces the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, which in turn helps to safeguard the ozone layer. This approach contributes to a healthier planet and a more secure ozone layer for generations to come. #WorldOzoneDay #solorganica #organicfruit #regenerativeorganic #regenerativeorganiccertified #regenerativeagriculture #sustainableagriculture #bcorp #bcorporation #fairtrade #nongmo #regenerative #soilhealth #healthysoil #regenerativefarms

19-09-2024🏞️ 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 There are several options available to solve the serious issues of air, land, noise, and light pollution. Inadequate waste management, mining, deforestation, industrial operations, and agriculture are the main causes of land pollution, which contaminates groundwater, degrades soil, and has negative effects on plant and animal life. Pollutants released by factories, power plants, and automobiles harm ecosystems and wildlife as well as cause respiratory and cardiovascular disorders and global warming. Making the switch to renewable energy sources, tightening pollution laws, boosting the use of public transportation, and advocating for renewable energy sources are some of the solutions. Overuse of artificial lights in cities throws off natural sleep cycles, confuses wildlife, and reduces visibility of stars, all of which contribute to light pollution. #StopSoilPollution #stopairpollution #stoplightpollution #stopsoundpollution #saveenvironment

Hint: When the waves are green (like, REALLY green), there could be an issue 😅 😬 Algae is essential to a healthy aquatic ecosystem. However, when pollution levels rise, it can grow out of control, creating harmful algae blooms that suffocate marine life and disrupt entire ecosystems. What if we told you there's a way to turn this problem into a solution? 🤔 BLOOM helps harvest this excess algae and transforms it into sustainable materials that help clean our waterways and replace fossil fuels. 🙌 🌍 Have you seen the effects of an algae bloom firsthand? Share your experience in the comments below! 👇 #MadeWithBLOOM #algae #cleanwater

Diatoms are photosynthesis algae, they are siliceous skeleton and are found in almost every equatic environment, soil and any moist place. They are used to convert dissolved carbon dioxide into oxygen in water. So, these are basically can be used for reducing and sinking of carbon dioxide into the water. Now, diatoms are grown artificially into the lab and then immaculating into the river. There, they are grown in larger scale and sink carbon dioxide for longer period of time. They can fix upto 25% of carbon dioxide and also the same amount of inorganic carbon equivalent to all rainforest! #environment #waterpollution #river #diatoms

🌱 Algae vs. Trees : Nature's Unsung Climate Hero 🌊 When we think about combating climate change, plants and trees often take the spotlight. But did you know algae might be even more powerful in certain ways? Here's how algae stacks up : 🌍 Carbon Capture: Trees/Plants: Absorb CO2 but take years to grow to their full potential. Algae: Absorb CO2 50x faster than trees, making them a rapid and efficient carbon sink. 💨 Oxygen Production: Trees/Plants: Provide oxygen throughout their lifespan. Algae: Contribute 70% of the Earth’s oxygen—yes, more than all the forests combined! 🥗 Protein Production: Plants: Require significant land, water, and time to grow for food production. Algae: Can be grown in water, including non-arable land, while producing nutrient-dense protein with minimal resources. 🌱 Versatility & Space Efficiency: Trees/Plants: Need large areas to grow effectively. Algae: Thrive in compact, controlled environments, such as bioreactors or ponds, making them scalable anywhere. As we strive for a sustainable future, it’s clear that algae deserve a central role in our strategies—whether it’s reducing carbon, producing oxygen, or feeding the world. The smallest organisms can often make the biggest difference. Let’s harness this potential! 🌿 #Sustainability #ClimateAction #Algae #Innovation #Protein #GreenFuture #Spirulina #Forest #Carbonfootprint

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴? In the field of green tech everybody is hunting solutions that can scale up to 𝟭 𝗚𝗜𝗚𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗡 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗢𝟮 removed. 1 000 000 000 tons of CO₂. That's a lot of ZEROs. On average a person living on plant earth emits about 5 tons per year. So striving for solutions that can balance out the emissions of 200 million people (population of 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗹) makes sense, but is much easier said than done. It takes a lot of #effort and #investment from all of us. Governments, companies, people. With our Enhanced Weathering Alliance (EWA) we work towards an annual global potential of 4! gigaton to be removed with Enhanced Rock Weathering. That is a huge pile😉 BUT: It can be done! If we all work #together to make it happen. Let's support our #climate and unfold the potential of our solutions. 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘀.

(A) As the world enters the 10billion zone in population, wanton problems bedevils us, and the main one I see is sustainability. The issue of sustainability bedevils all climes and inhabited region of the crust, from the Arctic to the Tropics. Thinking your clime need not worry for now about carbon emissions does not make your clime exempted from the menace of landfills or the eventuality of the greenhouse effect from the ozone layer on every living organism on this earth. Just as our atmosphere was ignorantly messed up with CO² emissions, hence the concerted efforts by the UN, Nations and Multinationals in trying to curb, reduce and eliminate this damage using operational policies and practices, there is need for a holistic and an all encompassing approach by same people and even more, in ensuring that our lithosphere doesn't suffer similar fate as our atmosphere. Perhaps we desire a scientific study to let us know the effect, clogging our breathable lithosphere in the name of Landfills, with non-biodegradable materials, to catalyse a commensurate action(s) from us all. #Recycle #Upcycle #Repurpose #UnitedNations #Landfills #Ozonelayer #WasteManagement
