#FinalStretchMajorGiftFundraising Post 7 of 8 (search hashtag FinalStretchMajorGiftFundraising to see the introduction and previous posts in the series) Now is the time to start preparing for a strong year-end push in 2024! Wherever you live and work around the world, the fourth quarter (October through December) presents a golden opportunity for major gift fundraising. Tip #7: Engage With Younger Donors Younger generations are a vital part of the giving community. Think of ways to engage creatively through digital platforms and social media, producing content that resonates with their values and interests. 👉Specific ideas: * Short form video (60 seconds or less). Tell a story. Interview a beneficiary. Tell a dad joke. Do a dance. Wrap it up with a statement of impact. * Collaborate with younger influencers and advocates. * Highlight the impact of gifts from younger supporters and encourage peer-to-peer fundraising. Non-profits offer both challenges and advantages for anyone who knows social media. NGOs are most often run by small teams of volunteers, with limited resources and budgets. With the social media algorithm dictating that organic reach is plummeting in favour of ad spend, social media can sometimes seem like a lost cause. https://lnkd.in/ghw-XZmn #ngo #socialmedia #socialmediatips

I recently read an insightful article by the Indian Development Review titled "Why Are Grassroots Nonprofits Not Able to Scale Easily?". Among various challenges, one stood out: many grassroots NGOs struggle with effectively using social media. 🌍The Problem: The article points out that while social media has become essential for nonprofits to connect with communities, many grassroots organizations lack the resources and expertise to leverage these platforms effectively. As one nonprofit leader mentioned, "Nowadays, it is expected that every nonprofit will have a website, and social media has also become necessary for connecting with the community." This resonated deeply with us at Aakhyaan because it's precisely the challenge we're addressing. 📍Our Solution: At Aakhyaan, we're dedicated to helping grassroots NGOs overcome this social media hurdle. Here's how we're making a difference: 1. We manage social media accounts on behalf of NGOs, ensuring a consistent and engaging online presence. 2. Our team crafts compelling narratives and content that resonate with each NGO's unique audience. 3. We develop and implement tailored social media strategies to expand reach and impact. 4. We assist in creating campaigns that engage supporters and attract potential donors through these platforms. By taking on these crucial digital responsibilities, we're helping NGOs amplify their voices, share their impactful stories, and connect with a broader audience - all without burdening their existing resources. To all grassroots NGOs out there: Your work is vital. We're here to ensure your message reaches those who need to hear it most, allowing you to focus on what you do best - creating positive change in communities. Together, we're transforming how grassroots organizations utilize social media, turning it into a powerful tool for growth and impact.
