It’s wonderful to kick off our engagement at EAIE: European Association for International Education with a workshop on systemic internationalization led by Dr. Marina Casals Sala, our new Director of Memeber Relations for Europe. Being a part of ISEP is more than mobility; it is about building a strong and resilient community of professionals capable of making education abroad a reality in complex and changing environments. As Marina says, we need the whole institution to be involved to succeed. Why should they be involved? What is the real purpose of strategic internationalization? On 8th October, the European Commission’s DG Education, Youth, Sport, and Culture (DG EAC), supported by Verian Group Belgium and Lithuania (PPMI, now part of Verian), held an Expert Delphi Workshop as part of the interim evaluation of the European Education Area (EEA). 📚🌐 📊 The workshop focused on: 1️⃣ Reviewing the EEA’s strategic priorities for 2026-2030 and 2️⃣ Improving tools for EEA implementation and reform at national and regional levels. 📌 Key questions explored: - Are the current priorities still relevant? - How can we strengthen the EEA’s global role? - What improvements can be made to monitoring and communication strategies? 📖🌍 The workshop was essential in gathering insights to shape the future of education cooperation across Europe. #EuropeanEducation #EEA #EducationPolicy #Verian #EU #EEAEvaluation

👏 The EAIE: European Association for International Education launched the third edition of the EAIE Barometer! The report offers a broad range of insights on the internationalisation of higher education in Europe, including data on the experience of international higher education practitioners, #internationalisation strategies and impact, national and political influence, and more. 🔎 Out of close to 1,900 respondents to a related question on the impact of national-level authorities when it comes to institutional goals and internationalisation, 65% reported an overall positive influence of “national policies, programmes or initiatives on their institution’s actual internationalisation activities”. 🎉 ACA celebrates this finding alongside its members (national-level internationalisation funding organisations) whose invaluable work in supporting internationalisation nationally does not go unnoticed! 📍 Discover many other interesting findings in the full report: https://lnkd.in/gja43e-9 #highered #internationalization

NAFSA is an incredibly inspiring place for international education professionals and believers. I was delighted to present a poster session on the Fourth Wave of International Student Mobility and connect with friends and colleagues. The work that is being done in the global education sphere is incredible even with the many challenges that nations and individuals face. Having worked in international admissions and recruitment space in the last decade it certainly was a reminder that global mobility and education have several elements to it and internationalization is not limited to physical mobility #NAFSA2024
