Spatial ALD thin films have many applications, but we believe it can be a game changer for batteries and the energy transition. What does a thermal runaway really look like. With Millions of electronics being sold every week and the introduction of right to repair the risk of thermal runaway has increased exponentially. Some of the main concerns are around, poor quality of batteries, over charging, damage from impact (like dropping) or natural degrading of batteries that can not be replaced - as found in many devices. We have had many customers approach us at Flair in partnership with Barnbrook Systems Ltd to come with solutions and we have delivered. One solution we will be telling you more about in the coming weeks is E:BAG. A passive system with built in Nano Technology that is ideal for a wide range of applications from Waste Management through to Air Travel. We have more exciting news coming that can support this ongoing problem. For now enjoy the video of what a raw battery thermal runaway looks like and this battery got to the temperatures of 800 degrees Celsius - 1472 degrees Fahrenheit.
