A big thank you to the hardworking colleagues who, while being professional, provide a sense of cooperation and support in the workplace in the best way, which is certainly very important in the better progress of the project. Also, with this kind of cooperation, the project is getting closer and closer to its last days (Piling Activities) with the best quality and safety. #Elecnor_Australia #Secure_Energy #Downer_Group #Project_Energy_Connect_(PEC) #Transmission_Line_Project

🌊🛢️ Project Recap: Claxton’s Well Abandonment Success in the Northern North Sea 🌊🛢️ Claxton was contracted by EXCEED Energy to abandon five wells in the Northern North Sea. We were awarded both phases of the well abandonment scope. The first phase involved plugging the wells to prevent environmental harm, while the second phase focused on devising and implementing a solution for wellhead severance and recovery. Learn how we enabled the operator to abandon five wells across two oil fields, reducing project costs and carbon footprint, and minimising environmental impact. https://hubs.ly/Q02S1dTw0 #WellAbandonment #OffshoreEngineering #NorthSea

In the coming weeks, we'll be commencing survey work both on land and in the water at our port in Port Talbot. This survey activity marks a significant step in our ambitious plans to transform Port Talbot into a leading hub for floating offshore wind (FLOW) and green energy development. To ensure the success of this large-scale project, and to meet legal requirements for planning consent, we'll shortly be conducting a series of preliminary ground investigations. These investigations are standard procedure for large-scale developments to assess ground and soil properties, manage ground risks, and inform design and engineering assessments. These assessments, along with others, will form part of the required Environmental Impact Assessment process. We are committed to minimising any impact these works may have locally. If you have any questions or queries, please get in touch using the details below. ✉️ info@abpporttalbot.co.uk 📞 0800 8402750 You can find out more about our plans for the port at: https://lnkd.in/dbPhqMC8 #floatingoffshorewind / #offshorewind / #celticsea / #PortTalbot / #SouthWales / #CleanEnergy / #EnergyTransition / #ReadyForTomorrow

This is such a complex project. PlanEngage, a tool that I have been using in my work too, is the way of the future! See the video below to learn more about PlanEngage and the Faro Mine project!
The Faro Mine was once one of the world’s largest open pit lead-zinc mines. Today, it’s the site of a major remediation program tasked with a critical mission: to deliver environmental remediation solutions that safeguard the environment, maximize local socioeconomic benefits and return the mine site to an acceptable state of use that reflects pre-mine land use wherever possible. Our teams are providing engineering services for this landmark program on behalf of the Government of Canada. And digital tools play a key role in our work. Hear from our leaders on how our PlanEngage digital solution is making one of Canada’s most complex clean ups more seamless, clear and collaborative. #AECOM #Remediation

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), through its database of lessons learned, called the Hanford Operating Experience Program (OPEX), said a recent safety catch at the Environmental Restoration and Disposal Facility (ERDF) prevented a mobile ladder failure and potential injury. VNSFS has operated and managed ERDF for more than a decade. Since the beginning of 2023, it has done so with CTI, through their U.S. Small Business Administration-approved joint venture, CTI-VNSFS Environmental, LLC (CVE), for prime contractor Central Plateau Cleanup Company. According to the Nov. 2 OPEXShare: The manufacturer of a mobile ladder platform had incorrectly labeled the capacity of the unit as being 1,000 pounds. The actual capacity was 300 pounds. ERDF workers who assembled the unit demonstrated the value of paying attention to detail and maintaining a questioning attitude. Their efforts resulted in identification of the error prior to the mobile ladder platform being placed in service. Lesson Learned: "We are all taught to read and follow equipment labels. We trust labels provide accurate information. However, we need to use our senses, maintain a questioning attitude and if those senses indicate the label may not be accurate, stop and seek additional information. "The potential to overload and cause failure of the mobile ladder platform was prevented by the workers' attention to detail and questioning attitude," the OPEXShare concluded. Great job by the ERDF team!

Happy Tuesday! Here is this week’s :60 Seconds for Safety message, brought to you by our parent company, MYR Group. Three-way communication is an important tool to ensure that information is accurately shared, and that it is accurately understood, eliminating the trap of making assumptions. A conversation that uses three-way communication works like this: • Person #1 provides the information or instruction • Person #2 repeats back the information or instruction • Person #1 confirms, corrects, or clarifies the information or instruction We do not work in isolation; we work as a team on sites where others are present, whether they are working directly with us or on their own tasks and projects. Keeping everyone on a site safe requires clear, effective communication, giving everyone the information they need to take the appropriate actions in response. At MYR Energy, Safety is Life. #MYREnergy #MYRGroup #Safety #ElectricalConstruction #ConstructionSafety
