From AI to telemedicine, embracing these innovations is key to enhancing patient care and system efficiency. 💡 Innovative Partnerships: The summit emphasised the power of cross-sector partnerships. Collaborations between start-ups, established companies, academia, and governments can drive impactful solutions and accelerate progress. 🔄 Resilient Healthcare Systems: Building resilience in healthcare systems was a key theme. The importance of preparedness for future disruptions, such as pandemics or climate-related challenges, cannot be overstated. 🤝 Strengthening International Collaboration: Global collaboration emerged as a priority. By sharing best practices and resources across borders, we can address common healthcare challenges more effectively. 📅 Setting Agendas for Action: Day Two highlighted the urgency of setting actionable agendas. Concrete steps and timelines are essential to translating ideas into tangible outcomes. 👥 Empowering Healthcare Workforce: Discussions underscored the need to empower and support healthcare professionals. Attendees examined the potential impact on European companies and start-ups, pondering whether the new law would hinder or propel innovation in Europe. EIT Health Ireland-UK , a Co-location Centre of EIT Health, which is part of the EIT - European Institute of Innovation and Technology, recently announced that Dundalk Institute of Technology has joined as a Network Partner. EIT Health is Europe’s largest health innovation network made up of 150 world-class partner organisations. EIT Health connects Partner academic institutions with start-ups, hospitals, pharmaceutical and medtech companies, government agencies, investors, and research bodies, to develop new ideas and inventions to advance health systems for the benefit of patients in Europe. DkIT currently leads several ongoing health-focused initiatives. The Connected Health & Wellbeing Cluster merges the latest technologies in e-health, m-health and telehealth, with established healthcare solutions. DkIT also hosts a number of health-related R&D centres including Netwell Centre who support active and healthy ageing initiatives, and the Regulated Software Research Centre who lead a number of initiatives on Medical Device regulations. Additionally DConnect is Ireland’s first dedicated digital health innovation hub, committed to driving collaboration in the burgeoning sector of digital health. We are proud to announce the launch of DigiH4A - Digital Health for All — an initiative designed to drive the #digital #transformation of #healthcare systems across the North Sea region. Over the next three years, DigiH4A will develop #reimbursement pathways and #costbenefit analysis methods with over 200 #healthtech SMEs. These solutions will support healthcare providers and decision-makers in integrating digital #health technologies, driving improvements in healthcare delivery and patient outcomes by 2027. - Innovative, cost-saving healthcare solutions are urgently needed to ensure that high-quality care is accessible to everyone. By collaborating across borders and bringing together expertise from various sectors, we can create a healthcare landscape that not only meets the needs of today’s patients but also prepares us for future challenges," says Aldo Vermiglio and Johan Rosendahl, Innovation Managers and leaders of this initiative at Innovation Skåne.
