Excited to share the new concept of circular analytical chemistry, which aims to create a resource-efficient, closed-loop, and waste-free analytical chemistry sector. Circular analytical chemistry, along with its 12 goals, encompasses the entire life cycle of products and requires a strong alliance among all stakeholders. The transition to a strategic era where generating waste is no longer an option presents a timely and unique opportunity for a new success story in analytical chemistry! Really looking forward to reading this!
Great initiation in chemical research towards green sustainable practices. NATURE ✨
Congratulations! This is a nice work
Congrats Elia! We all should keep in mind how our daily work can be resource-efficient and waste-free, even in analytical chemistry.
Congratulations 🎉
special congratulations 🎊
Look forward to reading the whole paper!

6moVery interesting. inspiring and comprehensive article. Lock-ins is of particular interest to me as regulatory bodies have needed to included a section on methods on equivalent/improved technology and methodology. This has greatly inhibited the progress in the implementation of newer and often “greener” technilogy development for the past 40 years. SPME has been around for 30 years and and with modern automation could be used to replace many antiquated wasteful extraction techniques entrenched in existing methodology. The other stakeholders in CAC economy which are not highlighted in the article directly are the instrument manufacturers, consumables and third party suppliers who bare great relevance in this area. In particular there is no mention of supporting costs to the environment. e.g. a greater push should be made towards remote support issues such as troubleshooting, training and method development. This is not only faster, more eficient and simple reduces the environmental impact of engineer/support travel pollution.
