🎉 The thing I'm proud of... 🎉 I had a client who wanted to pass ACCA to add weight to his signature. He never planned to use IFRS in his life, so at first, SBR seemed like a disaster. Well, it is! It’s tough, even for accountants, because the exam isn’t really about debits and credits. It’s more like: "Hey, nobody knows how to account for this issue, but maybe you — who has just read the book — could help us out?" And yes, nobody knows exactly how to answer the questions, and it’s impossible to prepare for every scenario. But what IS possible is to score marks using the scenario presented, and that’s what I teach. Our goal is to learn to identify the key points in each scenario, spot the "elephants 🐘 in the room," and learn how to talk about them. ✨ And then, magic happened! ✨ Over the past three sessions, we’ve tackled questions that are just a paragraph of text—no numbers, just tricky issues—and he managed to write answers that would score 70%+ of the marks available (I'll tell you someday why aiming for 70% is better than aiming at 100% or 50% 😉). This person went from "I've heard something about debits and credits" to confidently discussing the specifics and challenges of IFRS. I'm incredibly proud of myself as a tutor, and even prouder of him for challenging himself and staying determined 💪. By the way, it feels like the perfect time to share my perspective on how to prepare for ACCA the most efficient and effective way.
