EllisJames Creative supported Ontic with designs for the large graphics around their stand scheme. Our approach was to work in terms of elevations and outside/inside messaging: On the outside of the stand, we aimed to establish brand benefits and domains of capability: schematic key line graphics of airframes highlight the areas of specialism for Ontic while creating a modern technical feel; while the largest graphic locations are used for high impact, dynamic images and top line brand messaging. When visitors actually get on to the stand, we can start adding some more specifics with graphics that demonstrate Ontic’s exceptionally wide scope of capability. We knew from the outset that the graphics would be internally illuminated. That’s a key consideration when designing for events - colours have additional vibrancy, and blacks and dark colours can be used to deepen contrast to highlight white areas (which are always brightest) so they really pop.
