Last week I went to Banaras, and on the Ghats - I felt as if I belonged to that town. As if it was my hometown. I was not on a holiday. So I sat inside a café near the Assi Ghat and worked tirelessly till 6 pm everyday. Whenever my mind wanted a break, I went to the Ghat and watched the boats and birds and ancient buildings. After my short break, I came back to my laptop and resumed my work. I was so happy to work in such a peaceful and homely environment that I didn’t even crave to explore the other parts of the town during my work hours. Simply put, I was living in the moment. Whatever I was doing – I was doing it with all my heart and soul. I completed twice the amount of work I usually do in my office and realized that a healthy and relaxing environment plays a huge role in boosting the efficiency and productivity. In the hustle and bustle of a metro city, it often becomes tough for a company to create such an environment – even when there are all the intentions for it. Employees understand that. And I believe what many employees would like their employers to understand is that if someone wants to work remotely – and if he/she/they are not required to be in office – then the employer should just let them do it. In continuation of the issue raised a week ago regarding Wakefit Sofa Ticket no-1817884, they initially assured a full refund. However, they were unable to provide a refund or any replacement. Wakefit's only proposed solution for the sofa is to repair, which is totally unacceptable. So, the moral of the story is that purchasing a sofa from Wakefit, advertised as brand new, inevitably results in receiving a defective product. Finally, I received a standard message on WhatsApp without resolving the issue: "Wakefit ticket 1817884 has been closed due to lack of response. Please reply to reopen if the issue is not resolved. Visit us at https://lnkd.in/gmeseFuy". Its high time to #Boycotttt Wakefit. Plz do check the bad reviews, Its flooding in Twitter/FB/Linked-in in before burning your hard earned money.
