Look for expiry dates and signs like changes in colour, smell, or texture. SPF numbers: Nobody should use less than SPF 30. Higher numbers like SPF 50+ are crucial for very fair skin. Always reapply every 2 hours, regardless of the number. Fancy sunscreens: Regular store brands are just as effective as high-end ones. Don't overspend unnecessarily. Physical vs. chemical sunblocks: Physical sunblocks with zinc are better for sensitive skin and work immediately, while chemical ones need 30 minutes to activate. Tanning: A tan is a sign of skin damage. Protect your skin to avoid long-term consequences. Sunbeds: Sunbeds are extremely dangerous and increase melanoma risk. Caitriona would love to see them gone, but she cautions about the risks of people using them at home. Bonus Tip: Nothing ages your skin more than the sun. Daily sunblock is crucial for anti-ageing.
