This was certainly an interesting day out… I’m grateful that the Corporate Jet Investor conference allowed me to come and speak from my heart nonetheless. I feel it’s important for us all to move beyond our echo chambers and look for shared interests. E.g a habitable planet and preservation of flying in some form, albeit very different to what we see today. There’s no space left for greenwash, distraction and inaction we need solid visions of a viable alternative and the courage to break free from the mould. #aviation #climatecrisis #climateaction

I am still not used to seeing me in a video ;-) but here's my message anyway: the D328eco is the down-to-Earth (=realistic in a few years) response to aviation's climate challenge: it will be compatible with the most sustainable fuels (even 100% non-drop-in PtL based on renewable energy and Direct Air Capture). CO2 emissions can thus be reduced by up to 95%, and scientists also expect significant potential to reduce contrail impact. But let's not forget another point: all alternative fuels require a lot of energy to be produced. So, minimising the energy need of an aircraft remains of utmost importance: good to have inherently super-efficient turboprop engines. Low energy demand ~ low fuel burn ~ low energy demand for fuel production ~ low climate impact ~ low cost

LA gets ready for a transformational change in mobility options

The future is materializing. The biggest disruption to all things aviation, including aviation insurance, and the use of piston powered aircraft / helicopters, is looming on the horizon - eVTOL transportation. Access to widely available short hop transportation, which will eventually be very cheap (no pilot, very reliable systems, low energy costs) will also change the transportation patterns of our cities and our society as a whole. I believe we are a decade away (not 20 years) from the start of mass discovery, acceptance, and adoption.
