In 2022, Dubai International Airport (DXB) maintained its status as the world's busiest international hub for passengers, as per rankings released by the Airports Council International (ACI). The demand for long-haul travel surged, propelling DXB to the top spot once again. Following Dubai, London, Amsterdam, Paris, and Istanbul emerged as the top five busiest hubs by international air traffic, according to the trade association representing nearly 2,000 airports worldwide. DXB, which primarily serves international routes without a domestic market, saw its passenger traffic more than double to 66.1 million in 2022. Dubai International (#DXB) is on track to break traffic records in 2024, having welcomed 68.6 million passengers by the end of September, marking a 6.3% growth year-on-year. 🛫 The momentum continued in Q3, with 23.7 million guests, pushing DXB’s total flight movements to 327,700 — up 6.4% from 2023. 📈 Direct traffic has surged, with 60% of Q4 passengers expected to be direct, compared to 50% in Q3. With major events like the DP World Tour Championship and Dubai’s winter attractions drawing millions, DXB #forecasts an annual total of 91.9 million guests, reinforcing its status as the world’s busiest international airport for the 10th consecutive year. 🌍
