I'm Emily; Ex FTSE250 corporate leader, female leadership and productivity aficionado and creator of ElevateHer- a unique framework for high-performing women looking for sustainable, unrivaled success. How did I get from FTSE250 corporate leader to here? It’s been a hard-won journey but in brief, after years as a successful transformation programme director and corporate leadership expert, a prolonged illness revealed that I’d sacrificed my health for success. Yes, that thing that we constantly hope won't happen to us, happened to me. Yet, there was a silver lining- I realised that an essential part of my ongoing success, goal achievement and overall performance was how I used my natural feminine biology as an asset; a strategy to become the inspirational, confident and motivational leader I wanted to be. The problem is, most tools that we’re taught to support high-achievement and productivity are in fact, based on the masculine biochemical 24-hour schedule (see Alisa Vitti) and work on the incorrect principle that we, as women, can show up in work and business with the same consistent approach every, single, day. My mission is to get other women to consider the female paradigm of productivity and success - which surprisingly, works in sync. with our natural biological rhythms. Here are the 4 keys to success for high achieving women leaders: ❤️ Agency What do you mean by agency? 🤷♀️ This refers to intentional actions taken towards achieving a desired goal. Agency is about taking control of your career, being your own pilot, and feeling as if you’re shaping your job, your leadership style, and your life. ❤️ Authenticity Authenticity is being your genuine self. It can be challenging for women to show up as their genuine selves if their organisation culture is rife. Authenticity comes from finding your own style and your way of leading without worry about what anyone else thinks. Even the boss. ❤️ Connection Connection involves a focus on relationships. A desire for closer relationships and family ties drove many of the goals, choices and decisions of women that we have spoken to. Relationships and connections are important to all leaders and imagine how you can really get the best out of your staff by genuinely knowing them. ❤️ Wholeness Wholeness represents the desire to seek roles beyond work or to unite different life roles into an integrated whole. Many women have told me they had nothing else in their lives other than work. Some women are in conflict because they feel fragmented and divided between work and other life roles. Wholeness is about setting priorities and valuing all your commitments. It’s about setting your boundaries and saying no too roles or obligations that no longer serve you.
