Chinese language models rock! Last week, I posted about Qwen 2.5 being awesome. Here's another one: DeepSeek 2.5. The model is as strong as GPT-4 and as cheap as GPT-4 mini: $0.14 / 1M input tokens and $0.28 / 1M output tokens. If you want to run it locally, you can get it on Hugging Face: https://lnkd.in/enp_5nrm It supports contexts of up to 128k tokens. The license for running it locally is permissive, similar to Apache 2.0. Give it try!

Don’t buy the $200 subscription of OpenAI yet. Learn the nuances of each platform first before relying on the latest LLMs. Give #Claude a try or #DeepSeek or #Gemini and get good at prompting; understand the power of Chain Of Thought reasoning and prose eliciting techniques. This is going to dictate your job performance in the next five years more than you think. #AI #LLMs
