Is your organisation’s safety culture stuck below the surface? Continuous, incremental changes may not be enough to achieve sustainable improvements in safety metrics or culture over time. The real challenge lies in melting the iceberg of ignorance – addressing the hidden issues that frontline workers face but leaders rarely see. The key to delivering successful safety outcomes, Duncan Trapp, Senior Safety Advisor, WTW, argues, is collaborative leadership at all levels. It's not just up to the CEO or Head of Safety; it’s about making safety improvement a collective effort, engaging everyone from top management to frontline staff. Join Duncan at the CHC Safety & Quality Summit where he’ll present on how to dismantle the iceberg of ignorance within your organisation through effective stakeholder engagement and a transformative safety narrative. In our recent report digging into the employee perspective of safety climate, we discovered... 👷♂️ Frontline workers perceive safety more negatively across the physical, social and psychological experiences of safety than supervisors, middle managers and executive leaders. 👉 This indicates that frontline workers have a different experience of safety to those in leadership roles. This demonstrates why it’s so important for businesses to prioritise organisation-wide diagnostics when they gather employee feedback. Often, leaders claim to understand how employees perceive safety, yet these results indicate that overall, leaders have significantly more positive perceptions of their organisations’ safety climate. If you'd like to learn more about this discovery and how leaders can bridge the gap, you can download our report or join Dr Brett Solomon in the webinar he's presenting on this topic next week. 🧑💻 Download the report: https://lnkd.in/gDBjBeZh 🧑🏫 Register for the webinar: https://lnkd.in/g9Reaekd #Webinar #LeadershipMatters #HealthAndSafety
