VIDEO: "Things are happening... In all of Europe, I don't think there's any other market I'd rather be in than Poland right now."
What did we learn about the future of the Polish real estate market at EXPO REAL (Messe München)?
Quite a lot, as it turns out - watch our short video to find out.
While it's not all roses quite yet, Poland's property sector again showed that it's resilient, resourceful, increasingly mature - and confident.
The Poland Observer was once again active at Europe's largest commercial property event, organizing the official Polish conference, giving international investors an opportunity to assess the state of the market here. The session was entitled:
Poland at the Forefront: Navigating Real Estate Evolution
As we close the door on this year's edition of Expo Real, I would like to thank all those involved in helping make our presence there a success:
- The City of Warsaw, our conference partner. Grow with Warsaw.
- Maciej Fijalkowski, Secretary of the City of Warsaw, in charge of Economic Development & European Funds
- Malgorzata Kosinska, President of the Polish REIT Association / Polska Izba Nieruchomości Komercyjnych
- Adam Pustelnik, First Deputy Mayor of the City of Łódź, Invest in Lodz (Central Poland)
- Noah Steinberg, Chairman & CEO of WING Group & Chairman of the Supervisory Boards of Echo Investment S.A., Poland, and BAUWERT AG, Germany
- Weronika Guerquin-Koryzma, Partner at Baker McKenzie, Board Member of Polska Izba Nieruchomości Komercyjnych (PINK)
- Peter Noack, Co-Founder & Managing Director, ZEITGEIST Asset Management
- Kevin Mofid, Director, Head of EMEA Logistics Research, Savills Industrial & Logistics
- Pawel Malon, CEO, SINGU
- Hadley Dean, Founder, MDC2
- George Coleman MRICS, ssociate Director, European Capital Markets, Savills
The topic of REITs was also discussed - with hopes of a breakthrough imminent - and thank you to Małgorzata Kosińska and Malgorzata Dankowska for the opportunity to moderate the discussion alongside Piotr Fijolek from Griffin Capital Partners and Dorota Latkowska from REINO Group, on the Łódź stand with Eurobuild CEE as patron.
Congratulations to the wider Polish real estate market for continuing to shine such a bright light for Poland at events like MIPIM & Expo Real, and finally a big thank you to Patrycja Rabińska from Mariel & Haan Communications for invaluable support & consultancy.

Il📊 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬
🌟 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐱 𝐝𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐨 𝐝𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝟏: an impressive €90M* in economic benefits for #Monaco, driving tourism and local business growth.
🎬 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 brings in €200M* to #Cannes, with visitors and events boosting hotel rates and local commerce.
Amazing to see the significant economic impact figures of major events, highlighted by a digital media platform focused on investment.
However, while the industry includes some publicly listed companies, official numbers are rarely recognized of the overall events industry.
Stakeholders continuously try to emphasize and recognize the sector's importance.
🏢 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐠'𝐬 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: In our city, a clear vision has paid off. Investing €200M in the Palais des Congrès & Parc des Expositions Strasbourg Events which hosts 250 events annually, has not only boosted the economy but also enhanced our city's attractiveness. The impact of these events is estimated at over €130M per year, while also supporting hundreds of jobs and enriching #Strasbourg's intellectual capital.
🌍 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭: Events at the Palais des Congrès & Parc des Expositions Strasbourg Events contribute significantly to Strasbourg's cultural and intellectual vibrancy, making it a dynamic and attractive city.
Let's continue to recognize and invest in the power of events (not only major ones) to drive economic growth and enrich our communities! 🚀

Hamburg Convention Bureau
For many people – and of course for us too – Hamburg is the most beautiful city in Germany. A metropolis with a high quality of life and many exciting contrasts that make the city unique. In Hamburg, tradition meets modernity, classic meets pop culture, tranquility meets lively hustle and bustle, and Hanseatic serenity meets cosmopolitan charm. Hamburg is a city that is constantly changing and yet always remains true to its roots.
Hamburg is the second largest city in Germany and the largest city in Europe that is not a capital city. Located in the north of Germany, Hamburg is a city defined by water. Of course, as a Hanseatic city, Hamburg is characterized by the port and trade; the river Elbe is the city’s lifeline.
And water is also predominant in the normal cityscape. Numerous canals and waterways criss-cross Hamburg, creating an image that exudes a certain Hanseatic calm. In Hamburg, everything is in motion, everything is in flux.
In the immediate vicinity of Hamburg, you will find both the North Sea and the Baltic Sea within short distance. All the components that make up northern Germany can be found here: vast landscapes, wind and water. Also nearby is the capital Berlin, which can be reached by train in under two hours.
And not at least: Of course Hamburg is a city that offers ideal conditions for MICE planners.

MIPIM 2024. Most important real estate companies and organisations at Cannes!
The annual MIPIM real estate fairs are always a great way to not only meet new, potential FDIs from the real estate market. The presence of the world leaders is also a great opportunity for networking and learning about most recent trends. This year is no exception.
Moreover, the event for years has been the time when fDi Intelligence European Cities and Regions of the Future Awards are officially presented to the winners. This year, Pomorskie Voivodeship was ranked 7th in Top 10 mid-sized European regions of the future 2024 – Business Friendliness and 5th in Top 10 mid-sized European regions of the future 2024 – FDI Strategy. Vice-President of Agencja Rozwoju Pomorza S.A.Piotr Ciechowicz received the awards during the gala.
Another important element of the region's presence at MIPIM 2024 was an event at our booth: 'The transformation of southern districts of Gdańsk (Development of the Metropolitan Railway).' It focused on the need for the development of public transportation and based on the PKM case study.
Our team: Wojciech Tyborowski, Mikołaj Trunin, Michalina Kaczor and Michał Rynkiewicz are on site with the representatives of the cities of Gdańsk, Gdynia, and Pruszcz Gdański
