Hi everyone. My name is Julian Date and I'm the Project Manager for the Creative Economy in Practice Entertainment and Media Helps program. And today we're launching our physical space at IHOP. So the idea behind the Intimate India Hubs program is to create positive gender balance stories and we want to make it accessible to all the content creators in their lobby and in Kenya. And so we are launching our physical space today. We're also going to have an editing suite whereby content creators can move from our physical hub, but they create their content. Moving to the editing suite, being able to edit that content and post it online. The podcast piece, first of all, the colors they set up everything about you. They did suit. I think just bringing access of that sort of standard and level, making access easier. That's beautiful to see. Definitely something I would want our students to come here and experience and any creative really to come and experience the space. Ohh, man, just took a tour of the facility. My God. Splendid. And you know this is. What creators need in this country? People have brilliant minds out here, but they do not have the spaces to execute. If you're a content creator, this is your time. There's literally free spaces to record, podcast to record your content. Literally, it is time for the content creators to step forward. I also had an amazing time at the launch because I feel like anytime women speak, I feel so inspired to do anything and believe that everything is possible.

Strategic interventions can elevate this sector, enabling local artisans to scale up, create jobs, and boost the economy. There will be an improvement in local prosperity, positioning Nigeria globally through increased export transactions. We can enhance livelihoods, generate foreign income, and contribute significantly to her economic growth when focused on export transactions rather than imports.
However, as we push for industrial growth, we must advocate for sustainable practices. The regeneration of trees is crucial to ensure that our resources remain abundant and our environment thrives. Let's create a sustainable future where economic progress and environmental stewardship go hand in hand. Special thanks to Dr. saka Oladunni Jimoh for his invaluable contributions to this project.

I followed economics in high school, university, and two professional bodies, but at no place gave me enough knowledge of Co-Operative business models.
Always we discussed about demand and supply and how markets can be efficient ( Which now i know it is not ☺) and share holder wealth maximizing. We were thought we can do stake holder management while maximizing shareholders wealth.
But why this amazing sustainable business model is hidden from public. We talk about sustainable business, circular economy, fair trade, labor rights, transparency. Its all in one with co-operatives.

#Edutainment does more than entertain. It shapes our understanding of the world and sparks change – and even the use of #FinancialServices. 📽💸
Programs like Makutano Junction have demonstrated this impact, inspiring 138,000 low-income women in Kenya to open savings accounts. Now, Makutano Mamas aims to inform and inspire rural women’s use of SACCOs in #Kenya. By combining relatable characters with key information on how SACCOs work and are led, this reboot can strengthen the role that vital financial service providers play in rural areas.
CGAP, The World Bank Food and Agriculture Global Practice (AGF), and the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) believe that informed storytelling can strengthen rural #SACCOs and encourage women’s participation in their leadership.
Join us in exploring how edutainment can continue to drive #FinancialInclusion. Share your research or examples of how it’s improving financial lives!

The Matatu Industry: A Cultural Icon and Branding Powerhouse in Kenya
In Kenya, matatus are more than just a means of transport—they are a vibrant part of our culture and a canvas for creativity. These iconic minibusses, adorned with striking graffiti, LED lights, and pulsating music, move millions daily while showcasing the essence of urban life.
But did you know that matatus are also an untapped goldmine for branding and advertising?
Here’s why:
Mobile Visibility: Matatus traverse busy city streets and rural routes, ensuring your brand reaches diverse audiences throughout the day.
Connection with Urban Youth: Matatus are a lifestyle for many young Kenyans. Associating your brand with this culture makes it relatable and trendy.
Customizable Design: The creative freedom of matatu art allows businesses to integrate their brand themes into eye-catching designs.
Cultural Relevance: By collaborating with matatu artists, brands can resonate with the local community and showcase their commitment to Kenyan culture.
Imagine your brand on a matatu—a moving, dynamic billboard that sparks conversations and stands out in a crowded advertising landscape.
The matatu industry also offers opportunities for unique partnerships, such as co-branded events, themed designs, and even mobile product activations. It’s time for businesses to think outside the box and embrace this untapped avenue.

In a world increasingly driven by technology, decentralizing infrastructure to underserved regions is more important than ever.
At Impact360, we are committed to breaking barriers and decentralizing events to make them more accessible and relevant to communities across the country.
For example, why should all agricultural events take place in Nairobi when the majority of farmers are in Nyandarua? Our mission is to bridge this gap and bring impactful events closer to the people they serve.
With this vision in mind, we are thrilled to announce our first decentralized event in Kabarak on February 1st, 2025.
This marks the beginning of a movement to ensure events are aligned with the geographical realities and needs of different communities.
We believe collaboration and support will be key to making this initiative a success.
Join us in reshaping how events are planned and delivered.
Let’s make an Impact360 together!

Tips for Crafting Impactful Narratives in Social Impact Branding
The Power of Storytelling in Brand Strategy for Social Impact Organizations in Africa.
Storytelling is transformative for NGOs and social enterprises in Africa. It creates emotional connections, drives engagement, and builds trust, making it invaluable for those striving to create meaningful change. Here’s why storytelling is crucial:
1. Humanizes the Cause: Stories make abstract issues tangible and relatable.
2. Builds Trust and Credibility: Authentic narratives showcase transparency and real-world impact.
3. Drives Engagement: Compelling stories mobilize communities.
4. Differentiates: Unique stories help organizations stand out.
Examples of impactful storytelling include:
- UNICEF: Shares powerful narratives of children and families transformed by their interventions.
- The Kilimanjaro Project: Highlights collective efforts in reforestation.
- Jibu: Focuses on local empowerment through clean water solutions.
- WaterAid: Underscores the importance of clean water with personal stories.
- One Acre Fund: Showcases farmers' success stories.
Many of these organizations align their missions with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), amplifying their impact and appeal.
Personal Note: I have been privileged to work with all of these organizations except WaterAid, which has been a remarkable journey of learning and growth.
