NEW EPISODE ALERT - 501cTV's Jenell Harris discusses A New Beginning Community Outreach, with CEO Edward Williams and Marketing Director Randall White founded in 2014 by Harold Nickerson to assist ex-veterans facing challenges related to housing, food access, and benefits. Following Nickerson’s recent passing, the organization continues his mission, expanding its services from paperwork assistance to providing quicker housing solutions through partnerships with United Way and others. Many veterans struggle with navigating post-service life due to a lack of awareness about available resources, and the organization helps them by offering application support, connecting them with counselors, and providing food assistance.

Children who will grow up thinking owning a home is normal, not some pipe dream. Come join us as we move toward our goal of adding 300 engaged home owners in North Chicago to create the tipping point in community revitalization. https://lnkd.in/grGAQBbm

From our work at the Inner North Community Foundation, we are aware that end of life is difficult for people, and not everyone knows exactly what to do about it. ‘Leave a Legacy, Not a Mess’ is a community resource to help people make it easier for their family and friends to manage their estate when they die. It consists of a list of things people could consider doing now to tidy up their estate and avoid the often difficult issues which arise for those left behind. In consultation with our community, we have developed this checklist. https://lnkd.in/gXJqeNHa Learn more https://bitly.cx/ef4Rl
