The project will work in close collaboration with other members of the EOSC ecosystem, including the EOSC Association itself. 🎉 A Little Look Back From Our Key Events This Year! 🚀 On March 8th, we celebrated Open Data Day, organized by the Open Knowledge Foundation Greece with the support of the IT and Electronic Systems Engineering Department of @IHU and the UPCAST Project. This year's event, themed "Open Data and Sustainable Development Goals," was held at IHU's main auditorium with greetings from the Rector's Authorities and the CEO of Open Knowledge Foundation International, Renata Avila. Key Highlights: 📊 Athanasios C. Thanopoulos, President of the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), discussed the European data landscape and the paradox of the Data Revolution. 🔍 Mariza Koukovini presented on "Compliance Automation in Open Data Processing Environments," highlighting UPCAST's innovative pilots. 🧬 Olga Papadodima emphasized the role of genomics in cancer research and the critical need for open data in medical research. 🌍 Paraskevi Tarani addressed "Climate Change and Open Data," discussing the challenges faced by Greek cities under the European Mission "Climate Neutral and Smart Cities." 📈 The student team of Open Knowledge Foundation Greece presented the "Open Data Index" project, a collaborative effort to evaluate datasets from Thessaloniki's municipalities. The event concluded with fruitful discussions on collaboration between Open Knowledge Foundation Greece, Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), and UPCAST partners, exploring the future of open data initiatives. It takes a village, or in this case a global community effort, to make significant progress in tackling the evidence synthesis challenges we face today. This week, PICO Portal Founder Eitan Agai joined notable researchers, technologists, and guideline developers from Cochrane, JBI, The Campbell Collaboration, and others in the space at the International Collaboration for the Automation of Systematic Reviews (ICASR) Annual Meeting, to share knowledge on how we can address these challenges - setting the stage for the Global Evidence Summit which has brought together over 150 countries to discuss this important topic. #GES2024 #EvidenceSynthesis #SystematicReview

Peter Szegedi shared key updates on the EOSC EU Node, highlighting its latest functionalities and its role in advancing open, FAIR, and trusted research data across Europe.
