A comprehensive project reaching out a standing approach considering a long-term period. I read among all also a remediation of #PCB as pollutant and it's fantastic, despite of a minor production has came during latest years as forbidden, this pollutant is still live within old transformers and capacitors and as the urban and landfill mining is coming to recover critical raw material about #WEEE it could be nice to delve this application also to a definitive remediation in this field to avoid to pollute water and soil and run after more and more, maybe in a predictive way to plant herbs earlier or during the process of recylcing and secure #EEE before not later. As well as phytomining to recover heavy metal from soil... a very good achievement indeed. Last but not least the remediation train to enhance and boost the process to be more effective to reduce pollution partially or totally according to best practice, techniques and subtended case studies. It's time to give back something to the nature as restoration so it's a good achievement on that topic. Accurate and reliable metals measurements play a key role in the 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 process because metals can often serve as markers of specific sources or source categories. Sailbri Cooper’s #Xact625i is an instrument that has consistently shown high accuracy even at very low concentrations and has become a useful tool for university researchers and environmental agencies looking to identify sources of PM. ### NEWS & SCIENTIFIC CONTRIBUTION ### Going beyond 'carbon-accounting' demystification in OceanCDR, contributing to environmental impact assessment. NEWS The field of OceanCDR is quickly evolving, in line with the best available science. This, of course, includes OceanCDR MRV (Monitoring, Reporting, Verification). OceanCDR is vast, and Ocean Alkalinity Enhancement is a whole world in and of itself - and we are delighted that the specific approach we follow from day 1 - working the Ocean Outfalls - has been reckoned as the one with the most robust MRV pathway. Isometric has just issued their #protocol for Ocean Alkalinity Enhancement from Coastal Outfalls for public consultation. Picking a line from Gabby Kitch (NOAA) during the EESI panel yesterday on 'Demystifying Ocean Carbon Dioxide Removal' : " We'd like to see more studies on environmental impacts ". SCIENTIFIC CONTRIBUTION At PRONOE, we could not agree more, and we've been obsessed with bringing our contribution to the scientific discussion on environmental impacts of OAE. Our stellar CTO, Juan Buceta has been selected to present our work during the European Geosciences Union 2024 General Assembly. Our CEO, Nicolas Sdez will have the honor and privilege to be the first speaker and open this industry conference with a presentation on a topic close to our hearts and one that doesn’t get talked about enough: Environment Impacts in the context of Ocean CDR. >> Monitoring, Modeling, and Measurements need to be broadened beyond ‘carbon accounting’ and encompass environmental impacts. << More specifically, we will discuss: •            Considerations for Ecotoxicity Assessment for Local Environmental Impacts in the context of Integration of OAE Processes with Coastal Industries, •            Usual and state-of-the-art techniques for testing, monitoring and modeling spatially and temporally distributed potential impacts, •            Dialogue on environmental control and protection between OAE companies, industry experts, policymakers, and institutions. Finally, we will discuss our differentiated solution for Ocean Alkalinity Enhancement from Coastal Outfalls.
