Summer heat can significantly impair your compressed air system’s performance and efficiency. Here’s why: ⚠️Hot, humid inlet air forces compressors to work harder and consume more energy to deliver the same output. ⚠️ Increased humidity means increased moisture, which increases the risk of corrosion, rust, and contamination. ⚠️ Overheating can lead to costly system failures and unplanned downtime. ⚠️ Air treatment equipment is less efficient in the heat, which can lead to pressure drops and reduced performance. Preventative maintenance is the key to mitigating these issues and maximizing efficiency when temperatures rise. MAS offers flexible service agreements and 24/7 emergency repair to keep your facility running smoothly all summer. Don’t let the summer heat affect your air compressor! Follow these tips to allow your compressor to stay efficient and at its optimum working temperature on hot days: • Ventilate - ensure it is located in a well-ventilated area with enough space for air to circulate around it • Where the compressor is located in a Plant Room, consider air conditioning especially if it’s a compact area • Conduct daily maintenance - monitor oil levels and filters for leakage, dust and dirt • Ensure coolers are not blocked • Check for general signs of overheating such as an increase in noise or loss of performance If you are concerned about your compressor’s health, contact our team on 01404 548000 or sales@aep-ltd.co.uk #AEP #staycool #ventilation #maintenance #compressedair #aircompressor #reliability
